Meh

Slightly disappointed with this product. The keyboard feels cheap, the display (screen colors) aren't what I had hoped for, the battery life is the worse in any electronic I have ever used and watching Netflixs for example...don't bother. My Iphone 6 has a better display. If you want a basic laptop for basic computing needs it's ok. Have had it for about a week and continually think I should return. Remember, you get what you pay for.

Avoid ASUS

I purchased this laptop and had hard-drive failure in it, as well as a replacement laptop, both within 2 months. Then had to wait 6 weeks for repair - terrible customer service and turnaround time overall. I'd avoid ASUS in general.

Fast but disapointing keyboard layout and narrow viewing angle.

Very narrow vertical viewing angle display. The multi-lingual keyboard with the extra column of keys to the left of the ENTER key is awkward for me compared to my other keyboards. Battery life and overall speed seems very good. I give it 3 or maybe 3.5 stars.

Good for the money

For the money this laptop is great. Not the most robust build but take care of it and it should take care of you. Good specs for the price, what else you want?

decent performance

bought it when on sale and the performance value and quality seemed good. proved to be even better than expected. light weight and good everyday performance. have not tried with ant graphics heavy games but it is not likely to be great.

Great Laptop for school

I bought it on sale back in September. This laptop has good spec i5 8th gen, 256gb ssd and 8gb ddr4 ram. You can open many tabs + microsoft office + listening to music without any problem.

Decent Lightweight Laptop

A nice lightweight, portable laptop with good specs (8th gen, SSD, etc.). Nice and fast, and given that I only use it for school, I haven't run into any major lag issues. The laptop doesn't have the greatest screen for different viewing angles (IPS screen), and the battery life is much shorter than advertised. It lasts for about 4-5 hours for me, and this is while I only have a couple internet tabs and note-taking apps open. The keyboard seems to be made of a cheap plastic, but I like the way it feels. There is no numpad which is a bit of a bummer. If you're just looking for a laptop that's fast and portable for work or school, this would be a good pick for you, but take note of the short battery life and overall durability of the laptop.

Amaing laptop...

Picked this up a few weeks ago and it's a great laptop... boot from off to logged in with apps running in seconds Runs all my apps well and no issues with running multiple at same time. Overall amazing laptop... a few friends that used it after I showed them mine (showing off ;) went out and bought one for themselves... I compared lots of laptops and if your shopping make sure to getting 8th gen processor and SSD ;)

Really good for what I need

Really pleased with this. Just using it for university, browsing, and watching shows. Also was told that ASUS has an accident warranty for one year which is nice. I wanted a 15 inch screen but less bulky than my last HP one. This is great. A backlit keyboard would have been nice, but it's not necessary. And I miss my number pad but I will get used to that. Really pleased with my purchase. Haven't found any downsides yet. I love the SSD, it seems a lot faster

running with sisisi noise sometimes

bought it two days ago, now I can hear very tinny sisisi noise when it runs some software, is it normal? it seems the sound from SDD, but I am not sure about it. anyone faces the same issue?

Looks nice but cheap materials used

Yes, it does look like a Macbook but trust me it's no Macbook. Lasted 4 days before encountering problems with the graphics. Downloaded video would freeze at random for a couple seconds at a time. It did boot fairly quick, however opening more then 3 processes at one time (example - (YouTube, iTunes and a Word Document) slowed this laptop right down to a stand still. The battery life is ok, kind of what you'd expect for a laptop at this price point.

Great price for a decent laptop, but it has flaws

This is a decent laptop, however it has flaws. Pros: - Good look and style - Lightweight - Good specs (i5-8th gen, SSD) - Nice IPS screen (although some may find not bright enough) - Touchpad feels nice Cons: - Non back-lit keyboard - Cheap flexible keyboard, with low travel keys (not the best for typing accuracy) - Keys are made of cheap plastic - No numpad - Battery life is bad. Advertised as 8 hours but I would be surprise you would get more than 3.5 hours with normal usage - Seems fragile Verdict: If aesthetics and portability is your priority, it is a very good bang for the buck choice. You however sacrifice battery life, typing experience and durability.

Amazing quality for an equally amazing price

This sleek looking laptop isn't only appealing to one's eye, but also surprises with its speed and power. It boots and opens apps in no time. The processor and the graphic card can even handle games pretty well. The fan is very silent and most of the time you won't even hear it. Screen, keyboard, touch pad, everything works perfectly! At last, it is very lightweight compared to models with same characteristics which was a huge deal to me as I will be mainly using it for university. Absolutely love it!

Poor quality laptop

To say the least, I was very disappointed in the poor quality of this laptop, both in the workmanship and materials used. Right out of the box, the volume keys were not working and the keyboard was rattling during typing. I genuinely thought Asus was one of the better manufacturers, however, they have now lost me as a customer.
