Good but not perfect

UX370UA is an eye catching laptop. It is feather light, stylish, touch enabled, with the latest CPU, lots of memory and spacious SSD drive. The not so good points are that: First there are things that are missing for a laptop in this class such as a SD card slot and a carry sleeve. There is no place holder for the stylus either. The corners are pretty but will definitely break when they bump to something in your carry on bag. Second, there are a few design flaws such as rather noisy fan, heat, faulty keyboard and not being serviceable. Fan is noisy under moderate load. It becomes seriously hot after a few hours of work and the keyboard keeps missing the space bar and even jumps the scroll sporadically. Unfortunately there is no way to access the internals for fixing parts such as the battery. Overall, It is good if you appreciate its style and spec. But better look elsewhere if you are looking for a business workhorse.

Waste of money

I purchased this product a month ago when it went on sale with the recommendation of one of the Bestbuy customer service agent in the store. As soon as the 15-day return warranty was expired, the keyboard started acting weird. It was frozen for about four times. Thanks to the Geeksquad, they fixed the first time. However, the second time it happened, I had an assignment to submit on the next day. The Keyboard was again not working though the online geek squad tried to help me. I had to take it back to the store if there is anything they could do for me. What they recommended me is to use an external USB keyboard. Nothing happened. Now I wasted my money, my time and energy. It is one of the worst ever product I have used in my entire life. The other thing is that they said it is fast to operate because it is 16GB ram. However, once I turned off, I have to wait for about a minute or so until it properly turned on or else it will crush for no reason. I am not sure what is wrong with the laptop, it keeps acting weird. The battery they said it could last for 8-9hours. Mine will only last for three to four hours and that is only if you fully charged. The screen gets dirty really quick and not as smooth as it was described. The only thing I like about the product is its simplicity and easy to carry wherever you want to go. The stylus pen is easy to use, but it leaves mark on the screen. Other than that, it is not worth it to spend that much money on it. I will not recommend this product.

ASUS failed on this one

Usually I love ASUS but this laptop is pretty awful. The keyboard would not always disable itself in tablet mode. The pen would stop responding in the middle of writing something (tried multiple pens). Everything else was fine but do not buy this if you want to use it for the tablet functions.

Awesome overall computer

I have had my asus zenbook flip s for a little over a month now and I absolutely love it. This incredibly thin convertible laptop has the speed and quality you need in any high end laptop. The only downfall to this computer is the bad web cam but it is useable and in my opinion doesn’t effect the overall experience with this computer. I would definitely recommend this computer to anyone looking for a awesome convertible laptop.

Phenomenal with room for improvement

This piece of machinery is fantastic. It's elegant, versatile, responsive, and with the 8th gen i7, 16 GB RAM, and 512 SSD, fast as heck. It contains more than what the average user requires and with the integrated GPU and plenty of RAM, it's also capable of playing games. The only downsides of this computer is the fact that the webcam is laughable for the quality of laptop it's on, the fan has its moments of being overly loud and its prone to heating up even on a flat desk, and the biggest downside to this computer is the battery capability (which is understandable considering the super thin design of the laptop). Overall, this laptop is great, especially for the discount price that BestBuy usually has it on. When comparing the specs to other premium laptops, considering the sale price, it is worth every buck. WOULD RECOMMEND

Solid Small Form Factor Laptop

If you are looking for a fast laptop, this one does the job. Includes pen in box which is nice when compared to its competition. The built in graphics does a solid job of running adobe suite of applications. I can do moderate gaming such as CIV 6, Age of empire II, half life 2, and Overwatch however at low capped at 30fps. The pen does not stick to the laptop by any means which is disappointing. Also suffers from the dongle madness needed to connect peripherals to the laptop.

Laptop Works great but.......

The Laptop works great but the only down side is that this PREMIUM laptop does NOT come with the black sleeve. The Actual ASUS site one comes with one. Why does the bestbuy version not?

Nice machine, terrible webcam

This machine is pretty nice, the touch screen is responsive, keyboard is nice to type on. The screen does not seem as bright as my previous laptop it is also not as snappy and has some lag compared to a tablet. I had some issues with the touchpad after upgrading to windows 10, about 1.5cm on either side of the pad was unresponsive, multi touch would not work, the touchpad would not register when I was touching it with one finger and it would randomly click as though I were tapping the left mouse button. It was quite annoying and reinstalling drivers would not work. In the end I had to reset it to factory settings completely. The touchpad now seems fine for the time being. Aside from those issues the laptop is nice, it is thin (there is some flex to the screen), the stylus works, it's not too heavy. It is slightly smaller than a macbook air. When I was looking for cases and sleeves the 13 inch laptop case was slightly too large. I would definitely recommend getting an envelope style sleeve or similar for it as it's so thin. There are 2 usb c's, the lap top does come with a toggle which allows 1 regular usb, 1 hdmi and 1 micro usb to connect. The toggle is plastic, not as nice as the rest of the laptop, would of bee nice if it matched the machine or was encased in metal. Nothing is super spectacular about this laptop, it is by no means blowing my mind, especially at that price point and with the appalling quality of the webcam (similar to a mid 2000s flip phone in quality).

Minor changes would have made this machine perfect.

Overall, it is exceptionally fast and a pleasure to use. The design is super thin and beautiful, and all of the functions work well - keyboard, included pen, touch screen, usb-c adapter, etc. However, there are a few issues worth nothing: 1) it runs hot, especially under load. The fan will turn on frequently (not actually that annoying), but it will still remain hot to the touch and is less a 'laptop' than a 'portable desktop'. 2) the webcam is laughably horrible. ~480 pixels. Why Asus? Even the chromebook has a better webcam..., 3) the steel exterior is well built, but does have too much play to feel durable in the long term. you can hear creaks when you pick it up / press down with even remote force on middle areas (like the bottom side of the touchpad). 4) bluetooth randomly stopped working completely and is undiscoverable. I am a windows CPU wizard, and even I can't fix it. Will return later today. 5) as per virtually all new laptops using the 8th gen i've tested, there is very slight audible coil whine. This is WAY less than other laptops though and SERIOUSLY barely noticeable. Otherwise, if these issues weren't prominent and were fixed with slight tweaking, this would seriously be the best laptop out there.
