good turntable; poor shipping

like the turntable, great sound. BB should do better shipping fragile turntables like this. Received the box just as it looks on the shelf in the store, not double boxed and not even taped shut. Had cut on bottom of box. Thank goodness it was not damaged.

Terrible Product

Got this on Sale. Cant imagine why. After 3 weeks, I have lost sound out of one channel. Narrowed it down to the turntable, because everything works in my inputs I am using on my receiver. Will be taking this back.

With this price range you won't go wrong

It's better than I expect. Sound quality is comparable to those high end turntables, though the plastic looks a bit cheap. It doesn't bother me too much. Easy to install and the CD/software is helpful.

Poor Quality

Purchased an AT-LP60-USB turntable at our nearest Best Buy store (50 kms each way) and found that it ran too fast on both speeds of vinyl records. Travelled back to the store and exchanged it for another new turntable. We discovered that it also ran too fast and the sound was very poor (e.g. Frank Sinatra was terrible) Phoned Audio-Technica Support and spoke to a technician. He advised us that there are speed control screws under the turntable BUT one must use a plastic or ceramic philips screwdriver when adjusting the speed. We searched multiple stores (electronic shops, music shops, hobby shops, etc.) BUT could not find such a tool in Barrie. Returned again to the Best Buy store and obtained a full refund. Purchased a Sony turntable which works very well with much superior software. Quality control at Audio-Technica is obviously not good.

This is a Great piece of audio equipment

I was looking for a way to get some of my vinyl converted to high quality digital and boy does this turntable ever fit the bill. The quality of the recorded tracks is outstanding (converted at 320 kbps). I would recommend this to anyone looking for the ability to do the same.

Really nice turntable. USB port is a bonus

I've been wanting to convert my old vinyl collection to digital for years, so I finally bought this online when it came on sale during Boxing Week. Unfortunately, Canada Post just left it at my front door when I was away. Anyone could have walked away with it. I'm glad no one did because this is a really nice unit. The design is minimalist and the black really does look slick. It's well made, though not quite as sturdy as my antique Dual. But it's moderately priced and I bought it mainly for the USB connection, not for extensive listening. I didn't expect much, so I was very pleased when I heard the high quality of reproduction through my amp and speakers. The only drawbacks are lack of anti-skating mechanism and no ability to change the cartridge (but you can change the needle.) Vinyl to Digital conversion is a little tricky, but it works fine once you set it up. Overall, I'm very happy with it.
