not what I expected

I recently purchased this during the black Friday sale. within a week of having it installed on my computer it stop booting up. I had a "system service exception" File not loading AVGNETSEC.SYS. I called their technical assistance and was told that they had never heard of this happening before. I had already looked it up (using a different computer) and found references to it going back as far as 8 months. I followed their instructions to repair the issue to the letter. It was quite simple actually. WIPE YOUR HARD DRIVE AND RELOAD WINDOWS!!!. Their own tech support had no fix for this issue even though it appears to have been an issue for months. Apparently when windows updates AVG crashes your computer. I have been building computers for over thirty years and frankly that sounds more like what you do when INFECTED WITH A BAD VIRUS not what your anti-virus should do to your computer. I would not recommend this product to anyone and wish I had done a bit of research before buying it.
