4 Pairs Failed

I use these in the gym. 2x Powerbeats2 and 2x Powerbeats3. The range, battery life, and sound quality are exactly as you would expect from Apple/Beats. However none of those matter if the headphones don't work! I tend to sweat a lot and it appears they just cant stand up. 1 pair of Powerbeats3 broke in under 3 weeks, and the other just after a month. They are sweatproof if you are just a recreational lifter who goes to Planet Fitness. However the hardcore out there will find themselves frustrated and pockets a lot lighter with these. Google their reviews. Apple is aware and does nothing.

Two pairs that have broken in 1 Year

These Power Beats only last about 1 year. Just in time for the warranty to expire! I bought my first pair on September 30, 2015 and they broke on September 18, 2016 which were replaced. The second replacement pair broke today on September 6, 2017, which will not be replaced. I am careful with them and use the case all the time. I do use the Beats daily. Both pairs broke on different parts. While these do have good sound and I like the wireless, I would not recommend them as they are poorly made.

Caution: Very Unreliable

Within 1.5 months they are not working. At first, they seemed to be great - previously had the Jaybird X2 and went with these because of the over ear cradle which is great for running. They sounded good and battery life was great with quick charging. Now (after maybe 16 workouts) they are not holding a charge for more than 15min. I've spent more than an hour with Apple trying to organize repairs. Not happy given the price. My X2's lasted almost 2 years of workouts before these kinds of problems. Stay away!

Do not buy if you are planning on sweating on them - they will malfunction. Check out reviews on Apple website and [competitor]. . . hundreds of people with same complaints. Good product when it works but stay away unless you like the idea of constantly returning for repair. I am on my fourth pair in six months and need to return yet AGAIN!!

Bluetooth performance

I recently bought these headphones. They fit well the sound is amazing and I was able to pair them with my Samsung Smart TV. This did take a bit of work but its possible. The first thing you need to do with these is update the Firmware it gives you a slightly better performance. The Bluetooth performance is poor. If you leave your cell phone in your gym locker and go upstairs to workout the headphones will not work. I found the range very poor. Anything electrical near the headphones or your cell phone will cause Bluetooth connecting issues. For example if I leave my cell phone downstairs and walk around upstairs the connection drops. Some of these issues are standard with Bluetooth but I was expecting a slightly better performance from such a well known brand. That's why it gets the 3 stars.

Very Cheap Quality for an Expensive Price

I have received these headphones as a gift, as a regular gym go-er the product broke down within 2 months of usage. The buttons fell apart, and it stopped working. Wouldn't recommend to anyone at all. I recently went to bestbuy to purchase the bose in ear bluetooth ear phones on sale at the moment for 197! I was very surprised with the sound quality of the ear buds.. definately reccomend the bose!! and as for the beats.. there super cheap quality which I hate!!! i need to warn everyone about these headphones dont waste your money.

Extremely happy. Very loud and clarity is next to none even after 3 weeks of workouts and steam rooms. Next to no outside noise with window down in vehicle or bike riding. Beats keeps the reputation going. ????????

Don't Purchase!

Arguably the worst headphones I've ever purchased. There is a serious issue with the control buttons making the headphones inoperable after about a month of normal usage. I purchased two (2) headphones and each one had the exact same issue with the control buttons. This product should be recalled. Do Not Purchase! Best Buy was awesome. The manager accepted the return and provided me with an 'instore' credit. He also informed me there were several other units returned from other customers and there is obviously a serious issue with the device.

"Sweat Resistant" take with a grain of salt. This is my second pair due the same quality issue: the remote does not stay together and falls apart, allowing moisture / dust to get in and damage the electronics. VERY POOR QUALITY for an EXPENSIVE PRODUCT!

Not Sweat Resistent

Bought these 2 weeks ago, and in less than 10 workouts, they started to malfunction when sweat gets on them. I bought these specifically for wearing while working out and the sweat resistance (or lack of) is a deal breaker. I trusted at this price point that it wouldn't be a problem and didn't see complaints about this until after it happened and I looked for it - I guess most reviews I read were from people just wearing them as day to day headphones. To be fair, I give them 5/5 for everything else. Sound is really good for in-ear and even though I prefer more neutral headphones, the bass bias didnd't seem as powerful as I feared. There are alternate earpieces to get the right fit, I prefer the smaller ones as it lets is a little outside noise which is for safety when jogging on the roadside. But with the right size, you block out a lot. The fit is solid for heavy workouts, no fear or losing these, although the over ear holder took a couple days to get use to, but I didn't notice it after the 3rd time wearing them. Overall, as a sport headphone, I give them a big fail. Will be buying the Geek Squad protection and returning them.

I wanted to wait 2 months before posting my review. I gave these headphones to my wife as a gift as she is active runner. She runs on average 3 times a week between 5-10kms per run depending on her schedule. We paired the headphones right out of the box with ease to her iPhone SE with no problems. To date she has charged the headphones 3 or 4 times an no issues. She says the headphones sound amazing and fit perfect. There was some hesitation with getting her headphones as she has small ear canals but she just swapped out the rubber ends with a smaller set in the box and no issue with them coming loose. Again I don't know what the big stink is with everyone else's bad experiences but so far these things are perfect.

Head sets

This is my second set. First ones broke. They don't take sports very well and the strap needs to be longer. They are great for phone. They are overpriced. There is allot available for a lot less. If these break, will be my last.

Great headphones but don't last at all

These headphones are actually really awesome. Great sound quality and never had a problem with connectivity. Great noise cancelling, fit snug, stay in ear, and a long battery life. Th downfall is that they do not last. I have gone through 4 pairs. Thank god I got the warranty and extra with geek squad. Each pair failed the same way. They would start loosing battery power and charge ability. Some days they would charge fully and then not work at all and some days they worked fine until they stopped working completely. The blue light would indicate a full charge but they would not turn on. Best sounding headphones I have used but in my opinion; not worth the price tag for the quality in which you get.

Pros and cons

Pros: -5mins of charge= 1hour use -12 hours battery life -Good for some sports and workout -water resistance/sweat resistance -100m bluetooth range -confortable to use(if it fit right into your ears) and it doesn't come off in your ears easily even if you shake your head -works on some android device( works on my samsung s6) Cons: -No noise canceler -for some people(mostly with Bigears) it doesnt fit right -not build for answering calls(but not that bad, I use it sometimes and people can hear me just fine and i can hear them clearly) and for some music(sound is more on bass since this is build for workouts) Additional info: If you want some earphones for sports and workout, this is the best one But if you're looking for a better earphones there some better earphones when it comes to music quality and answering calls For me i like it and i use it everytime

Very happy with the Powerbeats 3

After a week, I'm very happy with the Powerbeats 3 for the following reasons: - great fit. This was my biggest concern after coming from the Jaybird X3 which I didn't find provided a good fit and took a long time to get into position. The Powerbeats ear tips and ear hooks make for a very solid comfortable fit while exercising - controls are well positioned and easy to use both for music and calls - sound quality is excellent. No bass issues as previously reported. - battery life is outstanding. Long life and quick charging.

Powerbeats3 review

Definitely the best headphones I have ever purchased in my life, they have unreal connectivity, sound quality is perfect, battery lasts over 12 hours if you're going to purchase wireless headphones of these would be my suggestion

Good WHEN they work

WHen power level gets below 75% they shut down after 1 minute, can't restart for a minute or two If lucky get an hour play time, recharge takes a LONG time as well

Not bad but disappointed

Very happy to share my thoughts about this product based on my experience. I was very disappointed given the new product release from a high quality manufacturer, advice from Best Buy sales rep and the price. Comfort: I found it uncomfortable despite trying all of the different sized tips and the over-ear hook didn't keep it in place consistently. Also, the flat cord created tangling and tugging on one side or the other during exercise movement so I usually wore the cord in front instead of the back of the neck where it is intended Sound quality: pretty good when I managed to keep them in place but lacking in depth Connectivity: always connected and had good range but I often struggled to get it going on start-up - Both with my Windows phone and my iPad. After trying this and a couple of other wireless in-ear sport headphones I bought the Bose Soundsport and it outperforms this headset in every category Hope this helps your buying decision

didnt meet expectations

1. volume not loud enough 2.doesnt sit good if u have larger ears 3. carrying case is cheap, Beats 2 had a better quality case

Decent earphone for workout or causal use.

So it not decent noise cancelling like Bose QC 35 or Sony mdr 1000x. There bounds to be ambient sounds incoming, but that for safety in case one exercise outdoor (incoming cars or bikes) Used it for couple days and I'm amazed how long lasting the battery is. (don't need to charge for 2 days, plus I carry a Powerbank so that's 12HR+) The fast charge (or fuel charge) is very useful when you are low on juice. The clip is comfy and the buds that came with it fit nicely too (there are other sizes inside the box) One thing I like to point out is the Mic during phone call is decent (not as good when I use qc 35) but it mainly for work out so I wouldn't mind too much. Overall, I enjoy the earphone very much. Love the design and excellent battery life. Update: I know the pb3 is design for iPhone mainly for w1 chip, but I've tried on note 4, nexus and oneplus 3)
