- Works when it wants to- August 24, 2020
For the first few days it worked and I could use both the charger and auxiliary at the same time. Randomly, the music would just drop out... no sound. I thought it was because both were plugged in, but that's not the case. I try to plug in the aux by itself and it will initially work for maybe 5 minutes, then the audio cuts off. I try to re-plug it in and it doesn't read the earphones... the audio awkwardly blasts through the phone speakers. Then, on attempting to plug it in again, no sound. I've tried flipping the adapter around and adjusting cables and no luck. Not worth the price or hassle. No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
- Works, but not like i hoped- February 21, 2020
A device like this very much needed with the setup of new Samsung phones. Without it, theres no listening with headphone (3.5mm). The other version is required if you want to listen with the provided USB C headphones, while also charging the phone. This device is touchy. Bought it and during first use it would connect/reconnect every couple of seconds. Took that one back and got a replacemt. This one works, but is sensitive, a little touch on the plug and it will disconnect. Works fine if you dont need to move the phone at all, for example if watching a movie. No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
- Excellent sound, huge problem with design- April 22, 2021
The sound is excellent, but the design is SUPER flawed. The cable is very stiff, which would be ok for other applications, but it's inevitably gonna be bent for an audio cable, which it cannot withstand on the long term. The cable regularly breaks down. Aside from that, the design is generally just super unergonomic, with the stiff cable it protrudes a further 5-10cm from the phone, making the whole unwieldy, and the hard edges of the adapter part get stock while taking it in/out of the pocket -- and this should be an audio cable !!No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
