Really Good for the price

Researched for many months and in the end decided with this one based on price per performance. Something to be aware of when you first turn it on or at least once you connect to the HDMI port, it will appear that it doesn’t work properly like the Display port does, that is because you need to make the setting change manually on the monitor to Auto Detect. BenQ should make the HDMI and DP come from the factory as Auto Detect. Once I figured this out it worked great. I have 2 laptop connected to the monitor: 1 with DP and 1 with HDMI both configured for Auto Detect. Also another tid bit is that, because of the higher resolution you may find it difficult to view some of the icons and text unless you have really good eyes, but you can make some setting changes in Microsoft (I use Win 10 and Win 7) by changing the icons to mid-size and enlarge text by 120%. Since the monitors is so big you are not sacrificing much space. With these setting you can take full advantage of the monitor's resolution. Lastly, I came from a 20” monitor and went to this 27” and had to really push the monitor back at least 10 more inches in order to properly view it because where my 20” was it was simply too close to view so you should allow some extra space on your desk.

A great monitor for software development if you have good enough eyes

I bought this for my software development daily job, because of the 2560x1440 resolution. The real estate is amazing for programming. Picture quality is great. The stand is robust. Comes with (i think) 3 video cables - unlike some others that came just with a VGA. However - this is more about the user than the monitor - remember that the pixel pitch of this monitor is smaller than that of a 24" 1920x1080 monitor. This means smaller type and you need probably to be closer to the monitor (especially of your eyes aren't as sharp as they used to be). I even had to change to light-letters-on-black-background (from black-on-white) because it's easier to read that way. But again, that's nothing about the monitor itself. When buying, remember that you'll probably need DisplayPort on your computer to have the full resolution. (DP cable included) People complain about the setup buttons on the right back. Yes my arm got tired being stretched out for 10 min exploring all the options, but once you're done, you don't have to do it anymore so no big deal. Love the "joystick button" some recent monitors have - would be nice in the future. The eye-saver setting is nice, but you can't set the brightness in that mode - ??? Was way too bright. Had to disable eye-saver and simulate it by using a normal mode and manually tweak the colors (reducing blue, balancing green/red). Awesome purchase !

Who'd a thunk!

Got this to replace a 1080p 27" by another major brand which gave me eye strain. This monitor is beautiful, my eye strain has gone away. There is a little edge bleed from the bottom right, but not noticeable in use. The only thing I could ask for would be 144Hz but for its price and quality it is great. A Happy BENQ owner.

Amazing resolution for photos and design work!

Purchased this monitor because I read it was close to Thunderbolt display resolution wise and it is amazing for the price! Perfect for photo editing and graphic design. Screen is clear, super sharp and no dead pixels. Used a mini displayport to displayport to get the maximum resolution and extremely happy with this monitor so far.

Very good replacement for iMac 27 display

Apple uses refurbished parts in warranty work. My "fixed" display screen with 2 serial numbers conked out after very little use. Tired of paying ridiculous prices so this WQHD BenQ became the replacement at less than half the price of an Apple refurbished unit. Works great and has a 3 year warranty. The best part is this monitor will find a home with a PC when the rest of the Apple hardware fails. The monitor has a quality build to it and has easy to use controls and speakers to boot ! Even comes with multiple cables of excellent quality for HDMI, VGA and Display Port video connections.

Great monitor

Considering it's 27" IPS with 1440p resolution, it's a great monitor for the price. The colours, resolution, and viewing angles are great. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a monitor in this tier. My only issue is that sometime's I have to unplug the power to the monitor in order for it to recognize my MacBook via thunderbolt/display port. This only happens after I disconnect my laptop from the display to work away from my desk.

Eye Saving Joy to Use

I have been using the GW2765 for 40 to 70 hours a week for over 10 months (I'm a professor) and I am pleased say this monitor is an eyesaver. Excellent range of adjustments for text and extended use. Very happy with the purchase.

Great picture aside from substantial corner glows

Monitor is fairly impressive, quite a sharp picture, although there is SIGNIFICANT glow/bleed from corners on dark screen. If a lot of your work or gaming is taking place with dark screens, it may be excessive. A good buy.

Beautiful Piece of Equipment!

Very easy to set up, and an unreal monitor purchase for its price. Great pivoting/rotation around both axes. Included in the purchase were HDMI, DVI, and VGA cables (I did notice the HDMI cable was relatively short; still nice of them to throw it in). Love the look and feel of the monitor compared to that of Dell's competitive monitors.
