nice projector hdmi link is broken

i'm happy with the performance of the projector, but the hdmi link does not work. it does not turn all your components off and on with one button, but instead randomly shuts everything off including the projector right in the middle of a show.I did not have this issue with my old epson 3020 3d projector, but overall this is a nice upgrade, but you also need a 4k dvd player.

Disappointed

I was very disappointed with the picture quality. I compared this to the Optoma UHD60 and the Optoma has a much clearer picture. This BenQ didn't look much better than a 1080p projector. The Benq does have better colours. Watching a few movies and various 4k videos there is noticeable pixel noise even with the pixel enhancement off (try watching Magnificent 7). The light boarder all around is large and annoying. I know the Benq and Optoma are DLP but after all these years can't they get rid of the rainbow effect. There is very little picture adjustment to help with setting up in your space. I found it a little difficult get the focus adjusted just right. Didn't even try 3D as in a few hours it had to go back.

3D

The projector I got came with firmware 1.0.1. That's the firmware that has issues with 3D. New fixed firmware should be 1.0.3. Also the Best Buy site seems to indicate the projector comes with 3D Glasses but that's not the case. Was really looking forward to this projector .. but i'm going to have to return it :(

Great image 4k

Very easy to set up. Image looks great even on a white wall. It’s a lot smaller than the other 4k projectors I have seen. Easy to move it around from room to room.

Great image great value.

Love this compact 4K projector. The image is sharp and colors are right out of box that I don’t need to call or hire someone to come and calibrate it. Many options in its menu I can adjust the color setting which I really like it even though I am not planning to do so now. In its HDR mode, the colors (especially for the skin tone) remain perfect; I saw some of my friends having some issue getting really over saturated colors in HDR mode from their 4K projector, so I am really glad I made my right choice. By the way I noticed its speakers are really loud when I opened it and tested it but I am using my own sound system for my theater room. Overall, great image great value!

Not native 4K

It uses pixel shifting meaning it's projected 4 times 1080p images on the screen to simulate 4K.
