- Steam Mop 1940- January 17, 2013
Steam Mop Model 1940 works as I expected, very well. Pros: When received it was easy to setup and ready to use in 10 minutes or less. Removing canister and filling with H20 was simple. After plugging it in ( will discuss this later) a short time about 30 seconds it was ready to use. Swivel head makes it easy to get in close quarters for cleaning. A great feature. All & all I would rate this portion 10 stars Cons: In order to turn off the mop you must yank the cord from the electrical outlet from across the room you just finished cleaning. Why no switch on the mop ? Bad bad bad design. This was a big disappointment. Overall rating only 5 stars.
- so far so good- August 3, 2016
bought the steam mop and two extra mop pads about three weeks ago. I've been using it religiously at least 2x a day. The 90 lb dog with huge paws, leaves prints all over the house. With the mop, his paw prints vanish on both the laminate and tile flooring. I've owned three different well known brands of steam mops. All have quite working for me within two years. Hopefully this one will last. Plus: variable steam output, large mop head, two types of mop pads to choose from, long cord. Just wish the mop had an off button and an easier way to lift off the water receptacle and some type of water proof pad for the mop to sit on when not in use.
- A REAL TIME-SAVER- January 2, 2020
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have used it only once: Two bathrooms, two entries all of which are ceramic tiles and kitchen which is natural stone. I was very concerned about putting so much heat on the tiles and followed the brochure instructions to the letter. The swiveling mop head allowed me to get into some tight places and corners. No water marks as when using a mop! The water tank is small so I figured it would need to be refilled before I finished, but there was about a quarter cup of water left at the end of cleaning. Tossed the mop pad into the washer today and it came out just as advertised in the brochure. I'm going to enjoy mopping floors now! Well almost anyway.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
