I had no idea what to expect from an induction oven, and I had decided to change brands. I owned a Kitchen Aid before and had originally wanted to buy another of the same brand but I was disappointed to find out it did not have a true self clean feature. So I decided to go with Bosch. I had read reviews of the brand and found many people were impressed by the brand. So then I had to decide induction, gas or electric. I have an induction hot plate so I have an idea what it is like but no true comparison to cooking for a big group of people. Gas I really liked because of the precision with controling the heat, but my last stove was an electric cook top which was soooo easy to clean. I decided on induction and now that I have cooked several full meals and a big Christmas dinner I can honestly say I won't ever look back! It really has been terrific . The precision of control in temperature and the even cooking on the stove top is great. The oven which is both convection and conventional is superb. The evenness in which my turkey was cooked and my cakes were baked really is second to none. Even the last oven which I loved was no match for this one. The controls took a bit of time to learn but now that I know how to use them the increased knowlage of the auto chef really is super handy. Very well thought out. All around I love my new stove. Great thinking Bosch team! (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

First induction stove and very happy with the quality of this appliance. Have bad experience with other brands, looking forward to have a quality name brand that will last. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

  • Best range I ever owned!

This range is fantastic. I love to cook, so my standards are very stringent. I had been using a countertop induction unit for 4 years until I finally bought this Bosch range. I read all the reviews on every manufacturer, and the only brand that came out on top was Bosch. Other brands had issues or defects that I wasn't willing to compromise or accept. I took out the extended warranty as well, because I was afraid if the top should break, the manufacturer's warranty may not cover it. As for performance, I am really impressed! The cooktop heats the pots quickly and efficiently, and boils water really fast. The largest burner still works on my large Dutch oven, despite the pot being at least an inch too small for the diameter on the stovetop. Reviews that I had read about other brands said that their pots wouldn't heat unless the pot was the exact same size as the burner. Not so with the Bosch. It works, even if the pot is too small. I love the individual timers for each burner, and didn't realize that the element will automatically shut off once the timer is done. That works for each individual burner, so when one timer is up, it doesn't affect the other burners such that the others keep going until they are up, and they shut off automatically. What a bonus and a smart feature! No more overcooked food. I use those timers all the time now. The stove slid right into the space left by our old electric range, and the top fitted perfectly over our countertops. The fan is quiet. Other owners of other brands have complained about noisy fans, but I am used to the portable incudtion cooktop and they are obviously unaware that the fan must blow to keep the heat from building up under the glass. However, the Bosch range's fan is quiet and I have no complaints. As for the oven, we received the range just in time for Canadian Thanksgiving, so I decided to roast a duck. Despite my apprehension on the amount of fat that the duck would splash all over the interior of the oven, I went ahead and roasted it, thinking that I would try out the self-clean program afterwards. However, that wasn't necessary, because the fat just wiped off with an ordinary sponge and some dish soap! In fact, some fat splashed on the oven door recently and I forgot to wipe it off right away, yet after using the oven at least 4 more times, I wiped off the fat today, again with just a sponge and some dish soap. The cooktop also wipes clean easily in the same manner. The oven door stays cool even while baking. In fact, I had it on at 450 degrees for several hours as I did a huge baking session and the door and glass never got hot. That's a great feature to have, especially when one has small children (or grandchildren) who love to "peek" through the oven window as food is baking and could possibly burn their hands on the hot glass. It is a "true convection" oven as well, which means that there is an extra element at the back as well as the bottom that helps distribute the heat more evenly than an ordinary oven with a fan that just blows the air around. There is simply no comparison between the two. It is so energy-efficient that food takes much less time to cook, and the other features of the range fit my cooking style perfectly. I really appreciate the proofing mode for rising dough, fast preheat mode, the warming drawer with touch-latch, the oven timer and built-in kitchen timer, the triple racks (I have always wanted 3 racks). All these choices that come with the range make me so happy that I spent the extra dollars on a range that has far exceeded my expectations. I have raved about this stove to all my friends and family, and I would encourage the reader not to hesitate in buying this model. I'll never go back to an ordinary electric or gas range. Happy cooking! (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
