What A LET DOWN

I was initially so excited about this system despite the hefty price being a Bose fan. Then the let down I bought one hooked it up and it has been one problem after another and the customer service is horrible. We have anotjer Bose system the Cinemate 130 and its fantastic still holds up today Bose did an amazing job with it. But it seems they really disappointed this time around because the sound touch 300 is not a very reliable system the Cinemate 130 it replaces is way better and sounds just as good. Bose has dropped the ball and has fallen behind the competition I've replaced my Soundtouch 300 with the new Sony Ht-z9f and let me say their is no comparison I turned on the Sony and with in a few minutes said OMG this is what I've been missing this is what quality sounds like great job Sony. I've now bought 2 Sony sound bars over Bose. I can't honestly recommend Bose again to anyone.

Vertical Green Line when using 4K pass-through

Terrific sound, there's no question! I own the complete 5.1 surround package that I purchased from Best Buy in December 2017. However, if you want to take advantage of the "4K pass-through" feature, some of you will notice a vertical green line appearing on your 4K TV. Bose is aware of this issue on the SoundTouch 300 and the Lifestyle 600/650 series (you can confirm this by visiting the Bose Community forums). It happens across all brands of TVs, and don't waste your time trying new cables or any troubleshooting. Again, Bose has publicly acknowledged the 4K pass-through problem, at least, with the Lifestyle systems so far. It's a cross-platform issue, and there are 2 workarounds: 1) repeatedly switch between input devices using a remote control, or 2) enable the zoom feature on your TV, but this will clip some of the viewable filmed content, and enlarge the clipped portion in order to hide the vertical green line which can appear on either side of your TV. It is hoped that Bose can correct this problem, but as of the date of this posting,

bluetooth connection hell

Do bose have R&D departments anymore? this speaker drops connection, has terrible bluetooth connectivity and will drive you insane. buy something else, anything else for that matter.

Bose SoundTouch 300

Just an amazing product! Such an easy set-up, easy calibration, easy pairing with other bluetooth devices, but the sound, wow. I am blown away. The price, I think it is cheap for the quality that you get. Highly recommend!!

geek squad not able to set up properly

I found when I bought 300 Boses I also had hired the geek squad to help set it up they told me that they had no training on how to set them up so I was stuck with what I could figure out . He was able to hook up my new TV only . I was not happy with the money I spent to have the geek squad have everything working right for me .

ONE WORD: AWESOME

The SoundTouch 300 is absolutely amazing, the sound that this system puts out would compete with audio systems that are 2-3 times the price. The build quality is second to none, its also costs a lot more money to get the Acuastimas module to go with it but trust me you get what you pay for its a must. Ive tried sound bars from Samsung, Sony, Polk audio, and none of them even come close to what Bose's SoundTouch 300 I would tell anyone who is looking for a serious system that is going to be good for years to come and is professional grade to go with this unit again it would compete with systems that are 3-4 thousand dollars.

Excellent Sound and design... when it works

We've got this bar at the beginning of September 2017 after a long research due to its design and after navigating thru initial issues, with TV connectivity and random power offs and (not) switching inputs using the IOS app, we got it to work. Excellent sound and design. Except two days ago we found it completely dead with a power supply failure. Best Buy replaced it because we had the extended warranty but was not sure Bose would allow them to do it again next time. Looking at BOSE forums it appears that the power issue is not a single instance that happened to me but to others as well. I'm terrified now that the replacement will fail after the warranty expires.. Bose are you listening? time to revisit the power supply design for this bar?

Best Sound system

Previous to this one I had a very high-end 5K 5.1 sound system but I was fed up with wires around the room big and bulky speakers and I decided to switch to this one so much cleaner yes this thing is very expensive but I love the sound quality it’s as good as my previous 5K sound system suburb lows mids and highs I also tried Sonos but this one is by far the best one on the market if you are looking for a sound bar look no further this is the one you should get.

Bam

Best Soundbar out there. Get the subwooofer and the invisi speakers. You can turn them (the invi's) up despite what people say but if you use the aptiq during your setup up you don't need to. Get the full package and it's an audio delight. Btw Kris from Vancouver doesn't know how to install stuff.

Glass Top Causes Unbearable Reflection of TV Image

The SoundTouch 300 glass top is a nearly perfect mirror and this results in a reflection of the TV image that is unbearably distracting, as it essentially creates an extension of the TV image at the bottom of the TV viewing plane, especially with a dim/dark room. This was a poor choice by Bose and I am returning this product for refund.

Fantastic sound

Once installed the sound was fantastic. You can program it for the room you put it into so the sound is perfect. Somewhat challenging setting it up but eventually fantastic

Best soundbar ever!

I saw this in store and was blown away. The price scared me a little and was kind of skeptical but I had a gift card so I got a little discount so I went ahead and bought the soundbar and subwoofer and honestly, they're worth their price. I love them. Super simple to set up, sound amazing, and blow tv speakers out of the water. Totally worth it

Decent music and media solution

I mainly came here to write: you do NOT need the sub with this soundbar. BestBuy has a really badly rigged in-store demo of this item which makes it sound like the soundbar on its own is totally lacking without the sub. In fact without the sub it sounds quite good, with a decent amount of bass. You will get ridiculous bass with the sub, but if your media experience doesn't revolve around special effects at least try the soundbar on its own first. You can find many online reviews of this item that reflect this. Without the sub, the price and quality justify a great star rating, since the soundbar on its own has decent media and music sound quality, with an emphasis on vocal clarity that doesn't compromise other aspects. Unlike many soundbar designs, the sound is integrated across the range so there's no missing midrange or awkward cutover. Bose's networking system is decent and their app is alright, though hopefully they can include integration with more services over time. I'm impressed by their community outreach, and I hope unlike many companies they provide a consistent and integrated long-running product line. The appearance of this soundbar doesn't call attention to itself, though the glass top is frivolous and just retains fingerprints. I don't need the universal remote, but it seems like a high quality item.

BOSE Sound Touch 300 Sound Bar

The sound bar is awesome! Set up was simple and the sound is incredible. I would recommend this item to anyone wanting to enrich their home theatre sound. I plan to purchase the Accoustimass 300 subwoofer as well.

NO HDCP 2.2!!!

Once TV/streaming/blu-ray content are all being shown in 4K UHD, this unit won't work. I wouldn't recommend anyone buying this soundbar until Bose updates the input/output to HDCP 2.2.

Bose Quality Shines

Without a doubt you will be paying for the Bose quality but what you get in this sound bar is well worth it. We had it for a couple weeks on its own before the sub came and wondered if we really needed the sub after all. (but come on..who wouldn't want the sub too haha). It has amazing, rich, room filling tones and decent bass on its own. Highly recommended

Soundtouch soundbar 300 package

I purchased this two days back as a set with the sub and virtually Invisible 300 wireless surround speakers. Its really worth every penny. The Sonos sound system is good too but Bose is exceptional. Crystal clear audio quality, setup is easy, if you want to hear good quality music , just go for it as a package.
