The sound is great. For the size it puts out a lot. Bose will continue to be a name that stands on its own.

  • Bose app full of bugs
    by Renzzz

Bought 2 of them yesterday. Unpacking was very nice. Not hard and fun to do. The installation was easy. The looks are great, it's primarily connected with a power cable only. After installing the wifi, the speaker wanted to do an update. Fine, bring in the new firmware. After completing that for both speakers, I connected and grouped them in my Bose profile. So far so good. Unfortunately the problems started quickly: - Playing music from Spotify works fine, but if you start music from the Spotify app, streamed to the speaker using Connect, you are able to modify the volume level within Spotify. But, Bose also has an app, in which you also can control the volume. This is one big No No. Increasing the volume inside the Bose app sometimes raises the volume just a bit (as expected), but sometimes it increases a lot. It appears to happen at random. If I decrease the volume with a single click, the app appears to take over again, and the volume levels start "to dance", without me touching anything. This is very very frustrating. - Adjusting the volume level via the "master" (so for both the speakers at once) is also buggy. Sometimes both speakers are adjusted, and sometimes just 1, resulting in uneven volume levels... - I tried hooking up the tv via the aux, unfortunately this comes with a major lag. Don't know what causes that problem, but I guess I can't use it with a tv... - Bluetooth. nice addition, but only if you intend to use it with a music device. It would have been a nice feature to use it to make calls. I mean, the speakers have microphones, right? - Grouping the speakers is done inside the Bose app. That's not hard to do. It would have been nice if they remained grouped. Every now and then, after starting the Bose app, you get a notification that the group has been removed/ungrouped, resulting in your music playing on a single speaker. That is not what I bought 2 speakers for... I don't know anything about the voice assistent, I didn't try that. I've returned them to the store, because for such a steep price-tag, I expect the same quality like my other Bose devices (like the QC35)
