Brother Monochrome Wireless All-in-One Laser Printer (MFCL2750DW)
- Poor scanning, noisy
from Edmonton on July 6, 2019
I have had brother printers for years and was always satisfied and thought they we good value. This is my first muti-function and I am very disappointed. The scanning is very poor. Others have mentioned that the scans are crooked. Yes they are, although the deskew seems to fix it. The scans are also quite light compared to my Canon MFP and my office scanner. Even increasing the contrast did not bring the scans up to par. Lastly, this scanner will not scan a number of pictures at once, separate and deskew them. My Canon does and other (more expensive?) Brother MFPs do. But this one does not support it. That is a big ommission and one you have to dig deep to find that out. I found out becasue it wasn't working and searched through Brother's site until I concluded it (Brother does not actually say it but you can guess from what they say). Lastly, this printer is quite a bit noiser than other Brother printers I have had. I'll solve my picture scanning issue by keeping my Canon but I should't have to do this.
- Not as advertised

This printer was recommended to be by Brother customer service because I needed a printer that could be locked. After I purchased the two printers and installed them, I learned that the lock feature only works for PC computers. Not Mac Computers. Extra expense for a feature that didn't work.
- Was nervous to buy at first but not anymore, highly recommend!

Read the reviews but went to store to check it out. This printer is one of the most solid built printers I have seen, has weight to it too = good. Brought one home and connected it to my network, took more time unpacking it than connecting it to my home network it was that easy, seriously! It is a well thought out printer, rich in features and performance by the engineers at Brother, finally a decent printer. Actually the entire Brother product line out shines all the rest IMO. I retired my 30+ year old HPLJ4 (great work horse) and happy I selected Brother to replace it, sadly I was not impressed with the new HP's out there today, look and feel cheap. Try this printer, you won't be disappointed, it doesn't get any easier than this printer. Also bought a high yield TN760 because toner cart that comes with printer is just a 700 page teaser. ENjoy

Powerful little machine that does it all. The only downside, if you decide not to use the Brother bundled software it is very difficult to uninstall.
