Brother TN730 Black Toner Cartridge

I purchased a laser printer from Brother and this is the cartridge I need to use an is perfect formy small business consumption. It last approx. every 8 months (at least to me) vs ink cartridges that every 3 months have to change it.

This is my third toner of this type and the stats area says expect to get 1200 pages. I would say I get about 1400 pages as I print a lot as I am in law school in my second year. I’m so happy that I decided to buy the Brother laser printer when I did! So much more cost efficient than those pitiful ink jets and how quick the ink needs replaced and whatnot. I will continue to keep purchasing this toner that fits my printer as I am impressed with the overall amount of pages per toner I get to print!!! To replace it, the time it takes is less than 2 full minutes if even that. Super easy!

I bought the laser printer because I'd had bad experience with ink jets. The printer itself was relatively inexpensive. It has worked well, produces nice printouts, had a nice scanning feature, works well as a wireless machine, and is reliable. My disappointment came with the low number of overall printouts before the toner ran out. These cartridges do NOT seem to last as long as the manufacturer claims (I have seen numerous reviews that confirm this). The lower cost of the printer is made up for in the cost of the printer cartridges. I can't fault the company for recouping the loss in the reduced price of the printer, but would prefer they were more forthcoming about the actual page yield per cartridge.

Bought the Brother HL-L230DW on the advise of a friend and so far the printer has been great. What is not great is the TN730 cartridge...just started getting a Low Toner warning but according to the page counter on the printer I've only printed 153 pages yet the specs say that I should get 2000 pages. Even if I got 1000 pages I'd feel pretty good about the cartridge but 153 pages is just stupid...I might as well kept my inkjet printer at that rate. C'mon Brother...you can do better than this.

I purchased this Brother toner cartridge as a backup for the original cartridge that came with the printer I recently installed. Not having a great idea how long the orig8nal would last given the intermittent usage I wanted to have a new one on hand so any projects in process would not be interrupted by running out of toner. I have been very pleased with Brother printers, this being my second one. The first one is also still function8ng well after several years of use. Both are laser printers.
