This type of desktop external drive requiring a separate power supply may seem a little old-fashioned these days, but it suits my requirements. I has a substantial appearance suggesting a long durable life - ironically the last two equipment failures on my system were the backup hard drives. But handsome is as handsome does and it worked immediately on installation without any further attention. Data transfer is almost instantaneous.
