Canon EF-S 10-18

Great value for the money. AS with all other Canon lenses it is clear, accurate and a great addition for an amateur photographer. When using a polarizing filter on this lens I find a little corner shadowing when using the widest angle possible. Just don't go all the way to 10mm.

Not bad, but requires a bit more light

Gives the ability for close in interior shots, needs a bit more light than the standard 22-55 mm lens

Great lens for the money

I was set on a competitor's lens, but went with this one because of the price and a preponderance of positive reviews. For the money this is the best wide zoom you can get. Solid optics and an excellent focusing motor make it a very good value. The only downside to the lens is that it is not very fast, but hey, it's a [price] lens.

Absolutely Solid

This is an excellent entry-level wide-angle lens. Good price, good optical quality. My biggest issue with it is that it's hard to distinguish at a glance from my kit lens, but that's really small potatoes. But a low-cost wide-angle option is great. While I don't (always) recommend it, this goes so far out you can use it for selfies easily #selfielyfe. But seriously, I'm looking forward to using it for vacation. A great buy!

Best EF-S Wide Angle.

Great lens. Lightweight, sharper than 10-22mm EF-S, which is twice as expensive. Not quite as fast (4.5 vs 2.8) but this one also boasts IS -- the first ultra wide lens from Canon (of any type, even L lenses) to do so. Bought mine when there were three in stock, sold out same day. No wonder this lens is in high demand.
