Probably the best bang for buck you can possibly get. I love this Camera and it's probably the best valued mirrorless you can grab. Get a mount and you're GOLDEN!

  • The BEST APS-C mirrorless hands-down

I've owned several 16mp cameras but I wanted a higher pixel count for greater detail in my images. I considered the Canon RP, but the dioptre adjustment range on the EVF isn't as wide as with the R for some reason so what else was there with a fully articulated screen with a dioptre adjustment range that allowed me to use it? And of course, within my budget? The Canon M50. Pixel per £pound for a compact system camera with fully articulated screen and range of lenses available, it's pretty unbeatable. I bought this system from JL while it was price matched elsewhere, and Canon had a cashback offer on the system too. I also bought at the same time, the EF-EOS M adapter which allows access to the EF and EF-S range of lenses. After a couple of weeks and I bought the EF-S 60mm Macro lens, again from JL. The image quality from the camera is simply stunning. I only wanted the camera for pictures, so any shortcomings in the video specification were unimportant. That said, I've had good results with the video capability, mostly due to having a wide range of focal lengths available that counters any cropping issues.

  • Disappointed Canon user

I purchased this camera a day prior to me traveling to Africa, for the first time in my interior life! I was excited to take better pictures than I get with my phone. However, My experience was far, far from enjoyable using this camera. First, I mislead by the sales associate who told me I could use my existing canon lens with this camera (lies). I was also interested in this camera for the LCD screen. The LCD screen on the Canon M50 can flip to The front. To use the flash feature, you manually need to flip the lens light up; this featured should be automatic. For the price, you’re unable to take fast moving or action photo, the quality is poor; the flash is not automatic.

  • Great outdoor photos - inside not so much
    by AMB1

I bought this camera to be my small, "carry-on" camera (I also have a large T7i DSLR). The outdoor photos were very good, however, the indoor photos were very dark and grainy. I tried a number of settings to no avail. After "digging in" a little deeper on several photographic sites, I learned the SONY A6400 rated much higher than the M50, so I returned the M50 and bought an A6400 (more expensive however). So far, I've been happy with the quality of the A6400.
