Cync On/Off Outdoor Smart Plug

Works great once you figure out how to program it. I wish the instructions for programming were more detailed and it would have saved me hours of trying to figure it out. I tried to program it and when it wouldn't work I would put it away for a while. I did this for hours until I finally finally figured it out. I had it programmed on both my ipad and my cell phone and it kept contradicting each other. The programming would not sync with both the ipad and the cell phone. I deleted the app off the ipad and it works great now. You will need lots of patience trying to figure out the programming but once you do it is worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Set up on this GE Cync Outdoor Smart Plug was easy. We downloaded the Cync app to connect, plugged it in and we were ready to go! No problem with extension cords, and there are two outlets on the plug itself. Be aware that if you have a large property you will need to be within range of your wi-fi for this to work properly. We set this up for our Halloween decorations and will use it all through the Christmas season. We like that it syncs to our Google home and Alexa devices (we have both) and that we can schedule the lights or turn them on/off earlier from our devices. This is rated for outdoors but could easily be used inside too and is very simple to move around.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an absolute must have for any outdoor decorations for the holidays. Makes it very easy to control the on/off controls for any yard art. We used it for Halloween decorations, Thanksgiving and soon Christmas. Super easy set up for those that aren't super tech savvy.

We wanted and easy way to turn off and on the string lights providing ambience on our screened porch. Climbing behind the furniture to access the covered outlet has gotten old. We have several “smart” lights and outlets of various brands in our home, but this is the first for an outdoor application. It was among the easiest and fastest to get on our wi-fi and it has functioned flawlessly with Alexa since set up. Like the option to control the two outlets separately. The best is no longer having to manually plug and unplug the lights!

I needed a remote plug for lighting on a boat dock. Had tried a standard smart plug-in but had connectivity issues. Researched the Cync outdoor smart plug and ordered online. Received it on schedule and tied it into the house service on the dock. Works well within the wifi network on the property and I do not have intermittent connectivity issues like we did with the standard smart plug. The updated Cync app works with Google Home as advertised. I would recommend to anyone needing a reliable outdoor plug solution.
