Pairing this to my router was fairly trivial, but it all went downhill from there... The set-up app is frustrating to use and looks like it was highly neglected for something that is necessary for setting up the device. The app is confusing to use, riddled with spelling errors and doesn't even do what it was supposed to do! I thought I was setting up a separate 5GHz network but it never showed up in the list of networks. Finally, the worst part of the product is that it doesn't even work! It doesn't look like the model was defective in any way, but when I try to connect up to the extender, my speeds drop to 1/10th of what they were when I connected to the router directly. I even tried placing the router, extender, and connected device in the same room and I still recieved that 90% decrease in speeds. Don't even get me started on the terrible support site that goes with it. I am returning this product ASAP.

  • Good extender

This is my third extender I bought, I tried Netgear and TP link and both would not get me the signal I needed in my back bedroom. This one set up quite easily from my phone and gives me 3 bars of signal. Very happy with the performance so far.

  • Unit runs too hot!

Connecting via WPS is easy. Range is not that good if you have walls. The unit runs above 45C, yes, I measured it. Operating temperature specs says up to 40C. Unit may not last long with that temperature and may be a safety issue. Returning it tomorrow. .
