  • Piece of junk - loses connection repeatedly
    Reviewed by Chris - September 14, 2016

The speed is great, but that is irrelevant when it consistently drops the connection to the internet. Just google this wireless adapter and you will see it is a well known problem. Their warranty department will barely question you because they know it's a piece of junk and this is a well established issue with this adapter. Only problem is that they will only service it and then send you back another piece of junk. By the time you pay to shipping it their you may as well get a new one and save yourself the time and trouble.

  • Great dual band adapter
    Reviewed by Brandon - October 17, 2013

I bought this adapter after replacing my old Linksys router with a D-Link dual band one. Only then did I realize that my previous D-Link adapter was only on the 2.4ghz band, and I decided to purchase this one to make the most out of the new router. The setup was a breeze and the performance has been fantastic. I have my PC on the 5ghz band for downloading torrents, while our phones and laptops are on the 2.4ghz band. I also have my PS3 hard-wired into the router, and so far streaming video to my TV downstairs has been great. The connection between my PC and router and now solid, and I am able to get the most out of my 24mbps connection. All in all a great buy for anyone looking to get the most out of a dual band router, or the upcoming AC wireless technology.

  • TERRIBLE
Reviewed by Stefan Bojovic - August 21, 2020

I used this since February 2019. Never again. The connection speed regularly drops to like 0,3mpbs (even tho my ISP is giving me an 80mpbs internet). When the PC gets shaken just A LITTLE, the adapter disconnects!

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

  • Bad, unstable device

I've used it for about a year now (since Jan 2020), absolutely horrible expericne. It would drop connection quite frequently, and would not connect back for 5 mins. Very unstable performance too, at times it would perform as expected, but ping/lag spike occured often. Would not recommend.

  • 3-hr setup up failed
    Reviewed by Mike - September 7, 2015

I thought adapter this would be a piece of cake to install. 3 hours into it after trying on a desktop and a laptop with exactly the same results: adapter does not find any wireless networks. So I called D-link support: they told me to switch the drivers from Win 7 Prof to Win XP (kinda old, but hey ... it's the support guys). With that I was able to see the networks, but not connect to any. Useless tech after all, similar to their adapter. ohh, one more thing ... I work in IT.
