- Excellent product....bad installing instructions- June 26, 2014
This is an excellent toner---replacement for the one that came with the printer---which is a great little laser printer. The instructions, however, just as the ones that came with the printer itself, are atrocious. Both times I had to call Dell Concierge to walk me through installation process. Entire steps were missing in both. For instance, in the instructions for the toner, it said to open lid--but did not indicate a SECOND lid had to be opened...beneath which the toner is placed...Once I did that---piece of cake---but it was much anguish for nothing--- I am always concerned that I am going to break something---it is a good printer, but it's still plastic. Please review and re-do CLEARLY, without missing major steps.

This printer/cartridge, meets 95% of my needs. It's an excellent printer, fax, and scanner. It does need a software pkg for scanning documents to the computer. Others companies offer scan preview, folder section/creation to store images and file names to make it easier to find. The other situation is wanting the occasional ( 2or 3 a year) color copy. It's really not worth getting a full color printer.

very impressed with this printer. agree with others that set up requires a little time but overall performance is great. toner lasted 11 months with normal printing. toner replacement took just a few minutes and I was back up and running. definitely recommend!
