No lights!

No hard drive light, no power indicator light. There is a light to show that the laptop is charging, that is it, not very useful. The docking station, unlike previous versions, also does not have a power light. With the lid closed (for example when working with an external monitor) there is no way to tell if the laptop is powered on. Dell has also omitted the model number on the wrist rest of the keyboard. This is often used by enterprises to quickly visually identify models. The ethernet connector on the side of the laptop is the type where it has a plastic tab that lowers when the cable is connected. These type of connections are not very robust or durable. On another negative note, this model, as with other late model Latitudes, does not have a user changeable battery. The performance of the laptop is excellent, the design is letting it down.
