DJI Mavic Mini Quadcopter Drone with Camera & Controller - White

PLEASE always remember to be respectful, safe and legal when flying a drone. The Mavic Mini is simpler to operate and easier to learn than most of DJI's bigger 'professional' offerings. It is an excellent platform for aerial photography and videography. Its small form factor and light weight make it easy to pack and convenient to bring along with you. Its light weight contributes to quieter operation and a (maximum) battery charge nearing 30 minutes. The DJI Fly app is surprisingly useful both for capturing, editing and sharing your captures. Be VERY careful verifying that your portable device (telephone- NO tablet so far is listed as compatible) will work with DJI Fly. My phone's Android version appeared to be more than adequate, but DJI Fly could not be downloaded or installed. Check carefully or you may need also purchase a new, modern phone if you want to do more than look at your Mavic Mini on the kitchen table.

PROS - - The drone price point is great - Fly More pak it's worth the price. - Great features and the technology is cutting edge CONS - - No tablet will work for a display. - DJI advertises only Android 6 or higher is needed FALSE. It needs to be a very specific 64 Bit chip set. - DJI Fly App is NOT avail on the App Store, maybe you can find it on their site. Only small phones may work with the controller - Repairs are HIGH. I crashed it (3 ft drop) and the camera frame cracked. $200 to repair. Go to an Authorized repair facility and it's double. - This is NOT a beginners drone unless you mean price.

I bought it for my son but ended up using it myself... Small, simple to use, quite useful for a beginner who travels. Pros> I find it very stable and the gimbal works well. The setup is simple and compass calibration works well all the time. Good quality camera. Good battery life. Low noise. Cons> no iPad app, only phone. It uses a different app than the one for bigger DJI drones. No follow me and similar modes. Very bad parts supply, batteries, chargers, other parts all sold out. For this reason, if you are still thinking, go for the Fly More combo. The props are not quick release. At night it is somewhat hard to see, as the light is only the one on the back. All that said, it is worth it. I recommend.
