  • Purpose designed pick.

The plastic material, mentioned in the description, is called Tortex. It is designed to replicate the "sound" of tortoise shell picks, which are no longer made. On my guitars, it creates a bright sound and is clear and distinct. If your guitar is warm sounding, this is a great pick to have in your pick collection for when you need a little clarity. I play an Eastman Dreadnaught Acoustic guitar and a Epiphone Les Paul Standard.

  • Gotta love Dunlops

For whatever reason, I have been accustomed to playing Dunlop .60mm when playing electric, while using Fender Thins for playing acoustic. I didn't know Dunlop made a lighter-gauge pick, so I picked it up on a whim. Glad I did - they feel comfy in my hand and sound great on my 12-string...

  • Average guitar picks for a good price
Verified BuyerReviewed by Gdiablo - January 7, 2014

These guitar picks are good for what they are. They are flexible and perform well. However, like all guitar picks, they do break in time. So you need to purchase them in volume. Which makes this a good bargain since there are 12 to a pack.
