- Not Always Compatible with Native Resolutions- March 15, 2020
I don't think there's anything wrong with this product but wanted you to be aware of what happened in my situation. I'm running a LG Ultrawide 29" display into a nVidia M5000 gpu. Using this cord I was unable to get the graphics card to recognize the native monitor resolution (60 Hz 2560x1080). I was able to set up a manual resolution that worked (50 Hz 2560x1080). I ended up getting an approved active displayport to HDMI adapter as recommended by nVidia. Once I did this, the native resolution was automatically recognized. This issue could be specific to my GPU, but just be aware that not all native resolutions may work with this cable.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

If your computer doesn't have a HDMI output and on;y has a DisplayPort output then this is the cable you need to get the best video and sound quality. It functions exactly like HDMI and carries HD video and audio signals. So you get the benefit of being able to use one cable as opposed to a VGA cable that requires a separate audio cable for sound. After connecting it and using it for a few days I am very satisfied with the performance. It works perfectly. The build quality of this cable is excellent. It is thick and feels very well made. Make sure to check that your computer uses DisplayPort and not Mini DisplayPort because otherwise it won't fit.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Works Great!!- December 22, 2019
I recently bought a third monitor to complete my setup, and this cable works great to convert my display from a DisplayPort (on graphics card) to an HDMI (monitor)! I will list my specs below: GeForce Windforce 1080 graphics card with 3 DisplayPorts, and only one HDMI port. My main (center) monitor is an ASUS VG248QE (1080p, 144hz) that uses one of my three DisplayPort connections, so no problem there. My two side monitors, ASUS VG245H (1080p, 75hz), each required an HDMI port. One was plugged into the provided HDMI slot, while the other was connected with this cable. The display came on instantly, and have had no issues since.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
