Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer - White/Silver

The design is beautiful and the performance is what I would expect from Dyson. I guess all the hype and the price tag really raised my expectations to a level that is unrealistic. It dries my hair quickly like others said, and the magnetic design of the attachments is very smart but I need to get used to the weight distribution. The motor is in the handle and so when I try to push the cool button it’s placed in an awkward spot and the heavy handle feels like it will slip out of my hand. That button could use some redesign as it’s often used to set a style while drying. Im pleased with the product because I have to be for the price I paid!

My experience with this hairdryer has been exceptional. This is definitively a premium device; you always feel in control when using it. The Supersonic hairdryer has a comfortable hold and because the device is bottom heavy, is easy to handle. The air flow is smooth which makes hair styling much easier and the hair looks cleaner. However, I wish Dyson had some form of product information directed to male users. My needs for a product such as this are mostly different from other individuals with longer hair. Having advertisement and information given in the context of a short-haired user would reassure me and justify purchasing a premium hair dryer.

I absolutely love this dryer. It’s so lightweight and easy to handle, and dries my hair quickly and thoroughly. I have wavy, swavy hair that gets frizzy on humid days and I like to dry it straight. I’ve always used professional blow dryers, but this dryer does a MUCH better job, and for some reason my hair does not get frizzy on humid days, whereas when I used other blow dryers it did. It dries my hair faster and so thoroughly so my hair looks great and stays that way. It does a much better job than the other blow dryers I’ve used. I was about to get another pro dryer, and my daughter convinced me to try this. So happy I did.

I got this for Christmas and I'm still trying to get used to it. There are a lot of great features to this hairdryer but I have a big problem with the handle. I find it very difficult to work with. I would prefer a streamlined handle with an indentation to accommodate and guide my hand, like most hair dryers have. I'm disappointed that I got the first generation of this product because I feel that this is a design feature that your company will certainly correct in future models. I cringe every time i have to use my hairdryer. I'm forcing myself to use it and not go back to my old one because I know how much my husband paid for it.

I had ordered my wife the supersonic for mothers day, after buying a new hair dryer every six months to a year, I decided to step and buy her this. So the day after I ordered it, I heard her and her friend talking trash about who would spend that much on a hair dryer (they had no idea it was on its way) so I was concerned. So after her silent protest of leaving it in the box for a few weeks, she finally started to use it and she loves it. Her hair looks so much healthier and her hair is dry in less than half the time. Is it worth it only time will tell, with the performance so far she'll need to get 3 years or more out of it.
