Solid, works well. I really wish it didn't require a separate screen, it's just extra hassle, as is the cord when I'm putting it away, which still takes up a lot of space. I like having the connectivity and tracking workouts but the app is worthless for me (I'm not a class person so no judgment on the quality of instruction - I watched a couple, it really isn't for me. I don't enjoy chatter and music.) The on demand water scenes are pretty terrible, that's actually something I would subscribe for but I'm probably in the minority. The machine works well. One of my buddies has a Cityrower and doing it all again, I'd probably go with that.

One of the best pieces of exercise equipment I've worked out on. Suffered a heart attack and had a stent implanted six months ago. Went through rehab using various pieces of equipment and made a full recovery. That was just the start of my new lifestyle of cardio workouts. Talked with my rehab team and they pointed me towards the rower as a better form of exercise. Living in the northern region of the nation I now have a equipment that I can use year round. I just started to explore the classes and have very impressed with the level of workouts and the instructions. The rower itself is well designed and easy to use. Very well built and designed. Thank you Echelon

...after reading about the rowing machine, it appears to be a solid piece of equipment. However, there is no screen, not even a basic screen one would find on any piece of exercise equipment. It's a bring your own device (smart device), which is fine. However, the Echelon software is only free for the 1st 30 days. After this you must subscribe to their service which costs as much as $39.99 a MONTH! I do not want live classes or motion backgrounds, a simple non-smart screen is all I need. The "subscription" business model has gone too far here, not offering a free app makes this a purchase to steer clear of.No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
