I was mostly interested in this little amp for recording. I wasn't sure how well it would work based on reading Fender forums and Fuse Forums. The bad news was that Fender doesn't support Fuse software anymore and this amp needs the fuse software to edit the presets. I had also read a lot of people saying it didn't work with Windows 10,which turned out to be incorrect. I ordered online thinking that I would get all the software with it rather than take a chance with an open box in store. It turned out that no software was included and it only came with the quick start guide and no full manual. I figure it was because of Fender pulling support for the software and now they are treating it as if it doesn't even have USB connectivity as the quick start guide doesn't even cover the USB port or explain where to get the driver. So far it sounds like I'm writing a negative review, but I'm not. So lets get to the good news. You can download Fender's Universal Asio driver from Fender's website, google it if you have trouble finding it. It's an easy install and my DAW (Waveform 8) picked it up right away. It works a little differently than what you might be used to as you have to select an input and an output - Mustang as the input and your soundcard or interface as the output. Using the default 512 buffers in the asio control panel gave near zero latency. The control panel said it was 12ms but really it seemed much less than that and was not perceptible and that was while running multiple plugins. You can also monitor live on the amp and control it with the amps master volume. The recorded sound through the USB is excellent,it sparkles. Does the USB recording really sound as good as a miked tube amp? Of course it doesn't,nothing sounds as good as a miked tube amp. But it certainly sounds better than my podXT and it provides me with a usable option to complement my real Fender tube amp. The Fuse software for editing the effects can also be downloaded from Fender's website. I had read that it didn't work with Windows 10,well that was wrong. It was an easy install but you have to do a couple of things along the way. First you have to enable dot.net 3.5 in the windows control panel (disabled by default) and let windows update download it for you. When you are installing fuse it will tell you you must have Microsoft Silverlight, make sure you are connected to the net and let the installer download and install Silverlight for you,it only takes a few seconds. Fuse will give you access to many effects that you can run in combination with each other to create new presets. You can also swap the cab models and amp models for new combinations. The effects are good, though I probably wont be using them for recording as I prefer to record a good clean guitar sound and add the effects later. Still it's nice to have them to play around with,it's always nice to have toys to play with. I gave it 5 stars based on value for the money. At the price they are asking for this amp they are practically giving it away. It's a steal.

I initially bought this amp for quiet practice, so I could play and not disturb other folks in the house. After living with it for a while, it has turned out to be more than just a good amp. Lets just say that I was in my teens when the Beatles first hit North America, and I have played various guitars through many different types of amps over the years. For a small one, this rocks. Extremely portable, good construction, a ton of features, great sound for such a compact size and that it is a non-tube amp, many different usable voicings without needing effects pedals, and the fact that you can expand the amp's use directly through a computer. Excellent value for the price.

Bought this for my son and I must admit I ended up playing around with for quite some time. Decent sound and great value. Highly recommended.

Big sound, lots of choices for distortion and I haven't even tried downloading any. A great choice for beginners.

This is great. I bought it for my son and it sounds amazing with many preset sounds. I haven't even checked the download sounds yet. Been having too much fun with stock sounds. I would recommend it for the beginner. No need for pedals.

Considering the price (that it's one of the cheaper available) of this amp, it's pretty amazing. Tons of features (almost too many), tons of presets, AND it connects to your computer, AND comes with some decent software (3 different apps). The sound is great, for its size. A fantastic practice amp all around.
