More Information

As you hit your stride, some things become a blur. It doesn't matter what you're doing, or where you're going, it's what you're achieving. Fitness is the goal -- not a destination, but a lifestyle. With the Garmin fenix 3 HR GPS watch, you're free to lose yourself to that indelible clarity. Focus on momentum. The smart multisport training watch will take care of the details.

It tracks your progress and helps you navigate with satellite precision, using GPS and GLONASS. Not only can it accurately calculate distance, steps, elevation, and calories burned, it also monitors your heart rate. With this vital data, the fenix 3 HR becomes your virtual fitness trainer, reporting progress and calculating helpful information like oxygen consumption estimates, along with ideal finish time and recovery tips.

The fenix 3 HR knows you move in more ways than simply running lengths and laps, with profiles optimized to track your swimming, skiing/snowboarding, rowing, or golfing activities. And when adventure in the great outdoors beckons, its GPS navigation keeps you on track, whether it's in search of that infamous view you have to see for yourself, or blazing a new trail too incredible not to share.

Why you need this:

  • Precision satellite navigation: Omni-directional stainless steel EXO antenna connects to GPS and GLONASS to ensure more accurate and reliable tracking across more environments.
  • Activity and sleep tracking: Sensors monitor your steps during day, with automatic goals assigned based on your activity level, and a move bar displayed to motivate you after periods of inactivity. At night, movements are tracked to determine sleep quality.
  • Heart rate monitoring: Elevate wrist heart technology measures your heart rate without the need for a chest strap, enables more accurate calculation of calories burned, and provides vital data to help optimize additional training features.
  • Rugged, stylish design: 1.2-inch Chroma colour display can be easily read in sunlight and features LED backlight for viewing in dim environments.
  • Smart connectivity: Bluetooth 4.0 LE pairing with your compatible smartphone lets you receive emails, texts, and alerts, plus gives you music controls.
  • Oxygen levels and recovery advice: VO2 max estimator determines how much oxygen you can consume per minute, and calculates your ideal finish time, with recovery advisor metrics to assist you.
  • Advanced running dynamics: Pair with the Garmin HRM-Run heart monitor (sold separately) to get valuable reports on vertical oscillation and ratio, ground contact time, cadence, and stride length -- plus physiological metrics including stress score, performance condition, and lactate threshold.
  • Multiple sports modes: Swim profile, ski/board mode, rowing, and golf settings ensure a variety of movements are accurately recorded.
  • ABC essentials: Built-in altimeter, barometer, and compass functions ensure you have relevant, real-time information about changes in altitude, air pressure, and direction.
  • GPS track log and TracBack feature: Blaze your own trail, leave GPS bread crumbs, mark important or interesting locations, and use the TracBack feature to reverse course back to your starting point.
  • App control and customization: Connect IQ platform app gives you the ability to personalize with downloadable watch faces, widgets, and additional data fields.
  • Water resistance: 10ATM/100-metre water rating means you can wear the watch in the rain or while swimming.
  • Long battery life: A rechargeable lithium ion battery provides up to 40 hours of use in UltraTrac battery saver mode, 16 hours in GPS mode, and 2 weeks in smartwatch mode

Barometric pressure does not work.

This seemed to be the perfect fit to my needs when I purchased it in December 2016. After using it for a few weeks, I realized the watch cannot keep accurate altitude data no matter what settings I used. The bug seems to be related the the barometric sensor which cannot be turned off. It is well documented on the Garmin support site. I was to late to return or exchange with either Bestbuy or Garmin. Garmin has now moved on to the Fenix 5 model and makes no effort to repair, update/upgrade or replace the Fenix 3hr. I have owned other great Garmin product. This is the first one that completely disappoints. A complete waste of a lot of money.

Garmin IS the best fitness tracker

i had to return my samsung gear sport after getting tired of all the mis-info and the daily charging, glad i got this fenix 3 hr pros: battery lasts 2 weeks with normal use - 2 days a week treadmill, activity tracker on, bluetooth on/day, off/night, hr sensor 24h on. you dont need phone to use 90% of the features, auto upload to web so you can see your daily activities on garmin connect waterproof up to 50 meters, not like gear s3 or apple which is only water resistant amazing tracking abilities looks like a real watch, albeit a little too big software on android and web is light years ahead of samsung cons: screen is not the best, especially comparing to samsung gear sport glass is not saphire, so you will get scratches if not being careful hr sensor sticking out and leaving a mark on your wrist after wearing it for a few hours.

Not actually the titanium model

The fenix 3 is a great watch but this is not the great deal they are making it to be. This is not actually the titanium model. It does not have the titanium bezel or the sapphire crystal. It is the basic fenix 3 hr model with the titanium band (in addition to the sport band).

Works well with looks good

Although this silver model does not have the sapphire crystal as the other Felix 3 HR, extra strap and better look make up for this and makes everyday wear more comfortable and the silver ring takes more abuse than the watch crystal anyway. I spent way too much time researching this and have only seen this model with two bands on the UK Garmin website. I originally had the VivactiveHR, but this did not hold up and criacked after two months of moderate use (NOT covered by warranty). If you are active outdoors and want a watch that is reliable, this is worth the extra cost....anybody want to buy a refurbished viviactive HR? 4.75 stars

"Titanium" in colour only- NOT material. Misleading ad suggests you get the titanium band- it's not! It's the stainless steel version. "Titanium" refers to the colour of the band and crown. Decieving if you ask. me.

not Sapphire as it says in the description.. false advertisement.. and so far; no refund.

I bought this watch 2 months ago and have now noticed that it does not have a sapphire lens as it scratches super easily. The description says it does have a sapphire lens. I have a 5yo tissot ttouch that is to this day completely flawless.. This fenix3 hr titanium is 2 months old and is scratched. I called bestbuy and they told me to call Garmin. I called Garmin and I had them verify the bestbuy site, they also confirmed this is false advertisement ( they tracked my call and information and confirmed with my serial number etc). I have asked BestBuy for a full refund but since i'm passed their 30day grace, they sent my complaint ( hopefully ) to the head office and I should hear back from them soon ( I hope ). Quite disappointed.. hoping BestBuy turns around and does the right thing and I do not have to call " protection aux consommateurs."

Great Watch, but this version NOT as advertised...

The Fenix 3 HR is a great watch! I picked this up on sale, but when I got it home and unboxed, I noted that (contrary to the Best Buy website writeup), this version DOES NOT have a sapphire crystal. Sapphire crystal versions have "Sapphire" written on the back - this watch does not. This is what is called the "Silver" version, also identifiable by the silver serial number plate on the back. I returned the watch. Not the bargain it appeared to be...
