GE Ahv05lz 5050 Btu Window Air Conditioner - White

Awesome it’s very cold day and night awesome buy it was worth every penny

This AC window unit is pretty lightweight and super easy to install. I sadly only have sideways opening windows, but made it work by buying a sheet of glass and working it into the empty space using some cardboard and white duct tape. It does it's job of cooling my normal-sized room and ensuite bathroom very well. Couldn't ask for more.

It is so easy to install, I did it myself while 7 months pregnant. It’s for a toddlers room and it does it’s job in minutes. 10 is obviously the coolest setting, 1 is the warmest. We keep it at appx a 7/8 during the NJ summer months. It’s easy to clean and maintain and very simple to use. Make sure you do not EVER have anything covering the front of it. Ever. I’d you keep up with cleaning and changing the filters, it’ll last you several years. Couldn’t have chosen a better model and trust me when I say, we looked at over 25 models just for her room. (Oh, and we bought a second for our second child:) )

I was actually really impressed with this product because of how cheap it was. I thought it wouldn't be that great and was okay with it as it was supposed to be a temporary purchase. After using it for a week I'm not going to replace this with another one like I was before. This thing works awesome; I even leave my door open to share the cold air and it spreads throughout the entire house fairly quickly. It gets my room freezing cold in like half an hour maybe even less to where I need a blanket. Or I just opened my door and share that love haha. If you're looking for a decent AC for cheap price this is it and like I said I am super impressed.

Installed July 15th, haven’t even used it more than 30-40 times. Air conditioner worked well up until this weekend, when the cooling element abruptly stopped working. Now it just blows air through the fan setting, no matter what you select on the dial or where you turn the “cooling level” knob to. In addition, I was not able to schedule maintenance through GE’s website because the page either doesn’t work or wasn’t built for mobile - the webpage is stuck in a refresh loop and won’t let me select any options. Bad product and bad service, have liked the GE products I’ve used in the past but unfortunately I think I will be avoiding in the future.
