Company is a sham, charger is a SAFETY HAZARD

I purchased this charger because I thought it would save money for buying a somewhat less expensive charger than the Apple branded ones. This was a huge mistake. This charger completely destroyed my laptop battery. By this I mean it put my battery into overdrive and now my computer won't stay powered on if it’s not plugged in.. The charger also completely BURNED OFF. The cord burnt straight from the end piece that plugs into the computer. I went into Best Buy to explain what happened and showed them the charger and they told me “you know you shouldn’t pull out the charger by the cord” — as if I were a freaking idiot!!! It literally burnt off because it was overheated. Then they said “Ma’am, this happens to Macbook chargers, too.” They accused ME of misusing this product. This doesn't happen to Macbook chargers because they actually have oversight over their products. It would cause a massive PR storm if they sold hazardous products like this. This charger is so, so bad for your laptop - PLEASE do not purchase. Also, I tried finding out more about this company and they are very questionable. I called Best Buy HQ and no one seems to have any info on them despite Best Buy selling their products. I also asked questions at a Best Buy store trying to get more info, and the custome rep tells me this information is confidential, all while looking at me with a huge smirk on her face. They do have a website but there’s hardly anything on (Except for a few picture of clothing (???) and their social media pages are non-existent (despite the icons being on their site). Also their email address is a personal gmail address… There are NO regulations for making third party prducts like this and so they create chargers that do not have the proper cooling mechanisms, etc. for protecting your laptop. Oh, and the customer rep also told me “you should have read the reviews first” — putting the onus and blame on me once again. Super frustrating experience. This product needs to be pulled from the shelves ASAP. It's not even a matter of a product being defective, it's literally a fire hazard. There's a point where a company has to ask itself: "do I want to pull my hazardous product from the shelves or do I want to pay millions in lawsuit charges?" If you care about profit, you would cut all ties with this company "That's Just Genius."

Poor Choice of Charger

This charger is unreliable as it only lasts for a few months. Sure is cheaper, though the quality of the charger does not justify its costs. Definitely buy a charger through the Apple brand.

Died in about 6 month

Worked fine, until it didn't. It was cheaper than the Apple one, but the Apple one lasted for years and this for months. Not worth it

Broke Within 4 Months

With no excessive use, no fraying of the cord, and only casual wear & tear, this MagSafe adapter broke within 4 months of use. Luckily, the adaptor is still under the 1-year warranty. However, I fully expect the replacement to break as well.

Great Inexpensive Charger

Solid product and such a money saver compared to Apple's power adapters! I'm very happy with this purchase and recommend it.
