Only been using the Google Wifi for 3 weeks but we are now getting Wifi out on our back deck after setting one of the systems closer to our deck door. Very happy about that!

If you have a long house or tall house, buy more, cause you can’t put them very far apart. Other than that works great can move from room to room or end of the house to the other without having to switch wifi networks like some wifi extenders.

I bought this system to provide seamless wifi to my entire house so i could fully utilize my smart devices. It was a pain from day one. My house is less than half of the suggested sq ft coverage and simply, old fashioned wood construction. There should be no issues. They wouldn't stay connected unless they pretty much had line of sight. Who's house doesn't have walls. 6 months and a dozen tech support calls and it was working (most of the time). I am just outside of my warrantee now and noticed today that ⅓ of my smart home is 'offline'. One of the units is dead. I contacted google. we checked the power cord, tried all the resets and everything else that one does when an electronic malfunctions. I quote them 'it would seem that there must be a physical damage on the board' but we can't offer a replacement as the it's out of warrantee. Ok, I get that, but unplug it, press the button, plug it back in, it's dead is all the customer service I get? I this what I should expect if i have problems with my 12 google home minis, my google home max, my 2 google home smart displays, my 6 chromecast audios or my 3 chromecast 4Ks or the other two google wifi units? I guess I'll give the remaining two units to the neighbours kid to play with since they aren't reliable enough for a smart home. (2 smart locks, 3 thermostats, 2 cameras, 16 lights and my robe vac are all offline until I get a replacement. Does anyone know of a reliable manufacturer?
