My Haier 65" TV

I love it!. I had a glitch at1st but best buy fixed it. It was damaged but replaced in a week over black Friday and Christmas. Hrs on the phone was futile so I had to go to a store, and it was fixed, time consuming, but fixed. Now about the TV, I have very bad eyes and the price was perfect for me on Black Friday 499.99. The 2nd delivery guy was a goof but besides that , once this 60 yr old almost blind, heart patient got it out of the box and picked it up and put on the table, yes he wouldn't even do that, 1st guy was kind and helped , hence the GOOF word, for 2nd delivery guy from store. It wasn't hugely heavy but 65" is awkward. It has a great picture on it and easy breezy lemon squeezy to set up . It takes a min to come on but I'm old we use to have to wait for them to warm up before, so no big deal. It's not a smart TV it's a dumb one, but the picture is great and the price was right. Worth it as far as I'm concerned, if your not a tekky picky guy, sound bar is needed but I had that already, and most fat screen TV need one anyways.... Just enjoying it so far...Happy New Yr

force you to buy online then charge you high shipping

TV is good price and a good TV but look elsewhere...same price and free shipping or actually in stock at a store...to charge such a high shipping charge nowadays is just plain gouging....

Honestly shocked at how good this is

I got this on sale and wasn't sure what to expect but I am just amazed at how good it is for the price. Really good picture in a wide range of videos. Only thing to be aware of is the sound is not great at all so you'll want to use external speakers.

Overall happy

Got this tv with an online sale. Delivered in a week to my door. Picture is great, easy to set up and use. For the price a 65 inch 4k is an amazing deal. I added a 3 year warranty and I am enjoying it very much.

Pleasantly Surprised

Bought this Online as part of the Black Friday Sale & all I can say is I am pleasantly surprised at the uniformity of colour and decent picture when viewed in a dark room. If you aren't too picky with finer details and advanced settings that other sets have, you really can't beat this price.

Bought this Haier 65" 4K on sale, worth every penny

First of all, I would not say this is a good purchase for the regular retail value. But I bought this on sale. For the price I paid, there is nothing else even close to this size and 4k definition. Wait and you might catch it on sale again (?) Here are the pros: 1. It's 4k ready 2. It's 65" 3. Great color depth, bright picture, and fantastic detail if you feed it a true 4K source. 4. Slim design. 5. Good assortment of in/outs including 4 HDMI ins, and one Optical audio out for your Home Theater system. 6. I haven't found one single bad pixel which is amazing. Here are the cons: 1. It is NOT a smart TV. I picked up a 4K Chromecast Ultra and wow it looks awesome, but it set me back some more money, but still a bargain for the price I paid. 2. Not in stock at store, so I had to pay shipping in Canada. Again, STILL a bargain if you get it on deep discount. 3. Does not have the blackest blacks, in fact black is just a very dark grey with some edge lighting visible. But I only notice this on movies with a lot of dark night scenes, and I'm very picky, my kids don't even notice. 4. If you turn down the brightness to try and correct the black, then the contrast is horrible. The best picture setting is "Vivid" just leave it there, it's a very good compromise for most movies. 5. It's not HDR. This might not be a con for everyone, I don't have any HDR source material so it would have been wasted on me anyway, but your call. 6. Takes a while to start up, maybe 15-20 seconds? Annoying but not a deal breaker. 7. You have to point the remote right at the IR receiver which is on the bottom left of the TV. If you just point the remote in the general direction of the TV it doesn't always work. 8. This might not happen to everyone, but one of the screw holes for the legs was not drilled perfectly straight and it caused me to strip one of the 4 screws. The legs still worked, however, I ended up wall mounting the TV. Overall: Great bang for the buck if on sale, huge size, vivid colors. But I would not recommend at regular retail price. If that's the case, wait for a Samsung or LG to go on sale and get one of those instead.
