Ok, I’m not a big slasher fan but this isn’t at all as graphic as the films of the last 20 or so years. It’s actually kinda mellow in the intense scenes..which makes it tolerable to me. It’s your classic B movie. While watching it, I couldn’t help but notice the green leaves on the trees while brown leaves blew by the kids on the street. The final scene in the closet-who doesn’t hang clothes in their closet? Also scenes where the roads are dry and then they’re wet (must have rained during reshoots or something)...But I think thats what makes this film interesting to watch. I like the imperfections of the film.

  • The original "Halloween" in 4K
Verified BuyerReviewed by Rustbucket - November 30, 2018

An absolutely beautiful version of this horror classic. "Halloween" has had all sorts of versions on home video, with middling results at best, but this is a truly stunning bit of lab work. Colors are at their most natural with this release, and blacks are, for the most park, inky & true. This is not going to be a reference disc for those who want to show off their new 4K TV, but it is the best this movie has looked (so far) on home release. Extras are pretty good, but not spectacular- disappointingly there is nothing new on here (all of the Special Features are from the 35th Anniversary release)

  • Halloween IS the king of slasher films!
    Verified BuyerReviewed by AndyM81 - December 24, 2018

After forty years of remakes, homages, parodies, and torture flicks, Carpenter's well-crafted, massively influential, and iconic film remains a simple, effective genre piece oozing with style and a creepy atmosphere that still delivers the goods. Death comes home to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray with a somewhat disappointing Dolby Vision HDR presentation, features the same passable Dolby TrueHD soundtrack, and ports over the same set of supplements as before. The overall UHD package is Worth a Look for the most devoted and hardened fans.
