- Replacement parts costly- October 28, 2020
I had over the years bought different breadmakers because in the end they all break down one way or another. This breadmaker is the best so far I had so I decided to keep it longer even after the shaft rotating the pad worn out. Unfortunately the only way to replace it is to order a new bread pan (it is kind of sealed together with the bread pan which is how this machines are constructed). This would cost me $40 plus shipping so I am undecided if I should do that .. maybe I can find another breadmaker on sale closer to that price... Honestly just a pan should not cost half the price of a machine that has a motor and other morevaluable electronics insideYes, I would recommend this to a friend.

- Works great, better than other previous brand- December 13, 2020
I bought this to replace a 10-year-old Black and Decker breadmaker that died during the Covid pandemic. This bread maker is less expensive than a new B&D and it works better! It stirs more effectively and it bakes the bread better. It still has the odd large "brick" shape of bread, and a single hole from the paddle, but gosh it is good. I have had it for 2 months now. The gluten-free function worked remarkably well. Other than the GF function I've mostly made the whole wheat bread, occasionally with the timer function to wake up to that smell. As I prefer a smaller loaf I routinely make just the dough and split it up: 2/3 into one lovely loaf and 1/3 into a few buns. They have a great texture, much better than the B&D brand. I also like how the pan twist-clicks into place, rather than trying to find the spot to press it in place with B&D. The single stirring paddle also comes out of the bread easily whereas the B&D brand it would get stuck in the cooked bread.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

- Love Hamilton Beach Artisan Dough & Bread Maker- November 8, 2020
We received it from BestBuy 2 days after ordering. Very happy with the good results every time we bake. We compensated for the vibrations making the machine unstable, dancing on the counter, by putting a non-slip Dycem matt under it. (available on line & worth the cost) So far made basic, whole grain and French breads. After the last kneading, which is very brief, I remove the paddle, so there is a smaller hole in the bread. If the bread takes 3 hours, 30 minutes, remove paddle when 1 hour 20 minutes left on the clock; if bread takes 4 hours, 20 minutes, remove paddle when 1 hour 40 minutes left on the clock. Used it for French baguette, by having the machine knead & rise the dough on French cycle up to 2 hours left on the clock , then removing the dough and rolling it out into a rectangle, then rolling it up from the long side and putting it on a cookie sheet, sprinkled with corn meal, brushing it with egg white, covering it and letting it rise for 50 minutes, then slicing shallow diagonal slits in the baguette & baking it at 350 F for 35 minutes.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
