- Easy homemade bread- May 22, 2021
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started baking bread when COVID hit. This bread machine makes it so much easier. I love the smell of fresh bread baking. It was so easy, just make sure you get bread flour and bread machine yeast before you begin. Add all the ingredients pick your type of bread from the menu, select crust color and size of loaf. In a few hours you have fresh bread and a house that smells wonderful. I did find you tube videos very helpfulYes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Wasteful product!- December 24, 2021
In about a year your machine’s pan will lose its bearing, making greasy dark gray streaks of yuck all through your dough. Wasting your whole dang Christmas eve baking. I have two of the older styles and one of these new artisan. Another downfall with Hamilton Beach, not one reply to my relentless requests (calls and emails) for a new pan. I am very angry… its xmas eve and I have no cinnamon rolls for xmas day, no breads or buns. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, they rather waste a perfectly good machine because of faulty pans, not supplying replacements on their site. They want you to buy a new machine $$ and add to waste sites.. Merry Christmas. No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

- Replacement parts costly- October 28, 2020
I had over the years bought different breadmakers because in the end they all break down one way or another. This breadmaker is the best so far I had so I decided to keep it longer even after the shaft rotating the pad worn out. Unfortunately the only way to replace it is to order a new bread pan (it is kind of sealed together with the bread pan which is how this machines are constructed). This would cost me $40 plus shipping so I am undecided if I should do that .. maybe I can find another breadmaker on sale closer to that price... Honestly just a pan should not cost half the price of a machine that has a motor and other morevaluable electronics insideYes, I would recommend this to a friend.

- Noisy machine- November 10, 2021
Works well for Gluten Free and mixing regular bread. Instructions could be improved, does not tell you that is warms up for 10 minutes before starting for Gluten Free bread, first time thought the machine was broken. Not crazy about the large hole in the bottom when you bake in the machine, makes it difficult to cut. For regular bread, prefer to take out dough and put in bread pan and bake in oven for a better loaf. Replaced an older machine that we had for years and this one is good but about 10 times noisier than our old one. You can hardly hear the tv in the living room when this is running in the kitchen. If you are in the kitchen doing anything else, might have to put in ear plugs. Hamilton Beach needs to improve this model with a quieter design.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

- Works great, better than other previous brand- December 13, 2020
I bought this to replace a 10-year-old Black and Decker breadmaker that died during the Covid pandemic. This bread maker is less expensive than a new B&D and it works better! It stirs more effectively and it bakes the bread better. It still has the odd large "brick" shape of bread, and a single hole from the paddle, but gosh it is good. I have had it for 2 months now. The gluten-free function worked remarkably well. Other than the GF function I've mostly made the whole wheat bread, occasionally with the timer function to wake up to that smell. As I prefer a smaller loaf I routinely make just the dough and split it up: 2/3 into one lovely loaf and 1/3 into a few buns. They have a great texture, much better than the B&D brand. I also like how the pan twist-clicks into place, rather than trying to find the spot to press it in place with B&D. The single stirring paddle also comes out of the bread easily whereas the B&D brand it would get stuck in the cooked bread.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
