Hisense 3-in 1 Portable Air Conditioner - 13500 BTU (SACC 10000 BTU) - White/Grey

The order was delayed by 1.5 weeks due to heavyweight & missed transit (twice each). Before we unbox, we saw the previous first review saying the product came broken, so we recorded our unboxing just in case. As expected, the front panel indeed came broken on one side (detached & bent) and the base of the wheel (plastic) below that detached side was completely broken as well. It's most likely caused by purolator the courier as the outer packaging box itself looked beaten-up when it arrived. We tested it for 3 minutes and the air conditioning appeared to still works, so we didnt ask for a return/exchange for now.

B.C. has a shortage of air conditoners. I wanted a white unit with decent power for main living area. The decible rating is 50-53 so maybe not a quite as I was hoping for but there are louder ones. I had read previous reviews and hoped my unit did not come damaged. Paid full price. Box did come damaged: Some holes, bottom was not sealed, and bottom styrofoam was broken. No visible damaged so plugged it in and it works. On sale now so got a price adjustment and with the savings bought the protection plan...just incase! The low star reviews are not for the actual functioning unit, but for the store shipping out clearly damaged boxes and/or units. I don't know if many were damaged by an incident, or it could be the same few units being bought and returned? I would buy it again..on sale.

Turn-out, Hisense is the supplier for LG, all accessories, even the remote, are the same as my one year old LG portable. Finish is not as good as LG, but price point is much better, but the inside sure is good, pumped out cold, cold air within couple of minutes. Easy to control, unit is big though.

Unfortunately, I haven’t even tried and tested the product. They that the box arrived was a big red flag. The box came without any seals with some wholes. When I open the box I also noticed that some of the parts weren’t in plastic either properly placed in, so as I opened al the parts fell off. The foam was broken and the front of the AC was kind of detached as well as son other said sort of air exit. I don't know if this box had a hard time on the transport + was an opened box but it didn't look good at all. I returned at the same day I got it.

The air conditioner came broken. The whole front panel was broken and one of the wheels was bent. Possibly the box was dropped before being delivered. However Best Buy was great to deal with. Their staff were so willing to rectify the problem. An exchange was arranged. Have not received the replacement yet but should receive it by the end of this week. Hopefully the replacement will be OK.
