  • Great TV with fatal flaws
Reviewed by Best Cry - December 31, 2020

After so many days calibrating and monitoring across different sources, platforms, and native apps, I have made the difficult decision to return the set. While some content looks OLED incredible, about 70% of content displays unnatural ghosting or blurring issue. This is visible in any of SDR, HDR, and DV. Image processing is a big problem - bottom line. If you want a tv that simply displays great non-moving images, without judder or blur, this set is for you! If you only watch YouTube, at 24fps, this set is for you! If you want to watch dark movies or sports, I would avoid this tv. The price for a 65” is enticing. You might not notice these issues.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

  • under priced for premium quality
    Reviewed by justin - January 2, 2021

Order this q9g over a month ago, been using it daily for long hours NON STOP. I have full cable tv service, using netflex, youtube.... I am someone watch Sooo much TV so I think buying a good TV is extremely important. I am glad I bought this one. A few Years back, my family bought the Infiniti full sedan with 330 horse power and all wheel drive. we went for test drive and just knew it was the car to buy. After that my friends have BMW 5 series SUV, my other friends bought a 8 seater Mecedes SUV, i got into premium mecedes in UBER a few times accidentally, we even got into a UBER in a brand new Land Rover Sports. I was shocked ,,,how all those premium cars with great spects didnt feel as comfortable or smooth as the Infiniti. Especiallythe BMW 3 series and 5 serius SUVs were always bumpy and the Mecedes seats were small and stiff. I remember going to International Auto show 2 yrs in a row, sitting in the newer model of some premium cars finding them Unimpresseive than the older model Infiniti we have at home. Branding is highly driven by perceptions. All premium brands have selling point to creat "premium perception to sell more" . Somehow Hisense ULED is one of those TV that completly out of under appreciated due to its "perception of new in the pic status" . Including myself i had huge distrust till I bought it. I really was going to go after Samsung and Sony first. After watching the reviews ,,,on youtube, realizing the Sony OLED is kinda just marked as "higher end" but in realizty if you watch a dark scene like in the dark cave, or dark room with no light , the grey scenes would just clump together to look like one 1 large chunk of black. Things in the dark do NOT look as 3Dfor SonyOLED. It was just story to be told and sold that make ppl to believe its "better " when its just "good" I dont ever write reviews on anything . After I bought this TV I feel like I need to write a fair review. I dont think at this price proint, with a full ULED/QLED for 65 is the right price. I suspect that its price for the premium quality TV set foot in the market. Its just UNbelieable !! I cant even imagine now that I feel bad for the ppl spent weeks doing research on youtube and those tech sites hearing ppl giving opinions when they are sponsored by brands. They think they get the premium when they throw like so much money for OLED but they just spent another $800 extra for an sold idea of premium. This Hisense Q9G is truely a tv Too good to be True but is True. lol. I have just been watching like under water documentary, live moving sea creatures, I watched 1 month of Star Treck New season. The darkening of pics are amazing. it has like 180 local dimming vs Sony X900H only 32 which is pathetic for like Premium TV that is OLED. Its like getting Canada Goose jacket that Overly Warm but we do NOT need that warmth until -10C, and we dont even need that most of time, and can achieve that warmth for extra layer of sweater under. but even if its 5C ud still have to deal that over warmth n heavy weight, n unappealing bulky look. Forfitting 1 area but missing another. Getting the OLED darkenning is like fixating on the Canada Goose coat's warmth yet forgetting its not needed . the Sony 32 Local Dimming will cause Bright object in black gack ground to have fuzzy bright trim VS Hisense a clear Trim. So all the youtubers geeks are Picking on ths Hisense cuz it is just a way as if judge a jacket like :"oh its warm for -5C but not warm like Canada Goose, however it is much more stylish and u can use in the fall and spring and can add a sweater to be just as warm" . This TV is build for over all cohesive experience. There is "issue" that when it first arrived its "too bright" lol...after reading online reviews and instruction that this tv is not "already setup" . its on default setup that the back lit darkening n color etc has to be adjusted to yr liking. darken the back light wont darken the screen. its still VERY bright. Last thing...because I have watched So many Youtube reviews against Samsung T90 and Sony x9000H, the "spects" that were pointed out thru test by TV reviewers,,,i had been looking for them. There is NO blooming, NO ghosting,,,,No nothing. I watch 5-6 hours a day TV i thought id find something "off " after 1 month,,,n nothing came up bothered me . Nothing but just incrediblely smooth with beautiful color. The other review on best buy for this product made this tv sounded so bad to made me think of write this review. Cuz all I saw is opposite of that bad review. This tv is Extremely smooth on moving objects...like dorm flying over the lands cape,,,,animals running, car chasing etc. its visibly nicer than the Samsungs and LG my friends have at their home. So Because its Obviously good quality, someone came in to "poison the water" i suspect the competitor wrote a bad reivew . lol. Or someone hates the brand lol. because my friends all buy premium TVs i have seen their TVs that love to spend way more money in. Hisense is going to be my go to TV next a few yrs. I dont think id Upgrade this tv any time soon. I am like in love with it. I prob would spend $2000 in the future if price goes up when brand gets more recognized . I am still in disbelieve that I get this TV for this quality.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
