Bought this a year ago and the product did as described for the first few months. Now in my situation this was placed in a bedroom and ran 24/7. I cleaned the filters every month and replaced the secondary filter on the back once. Did as described and filtered some of the stuff out of the air. The filter only got mostly dust, which is what I mainly wanted. After a month or so an irritating noise coming from the oscillation feature which basically made this feature useless to use as night. The planned obsolescence of this device was made to a science nearly after 12 months the unit just up and died completely. Now given the price on this I expected a better life span on the unit. I would recommend that you stay away from this particular model.

Ran for less than 1/2 an hour and developed a loud annoying squeaking noise. Sound stopped when we turned off the oscillation feature. Fans still work but we wanted the oscillation feature. Considering returning it but it is a 2 hour round trip to the nearest BB. Very disappointed.

I returned this immediately after opening up the back panel to check the filters to see if the unit was new. If you look at the washable filters, you'll see that the "filters" are actually layers of hexagon-grid metal...and the grid holes are quite large, meaning just about anything can move through the filters except for potentially very long hair. This is a ripoff.
