- a great idea, but not for all appilcations- May 11, 2014
this adapter is a good idea but it doesn't work for all pedals or multi-fx units. it works for 9v pedals fine, but i purchased this with intent on using it with a digitech bp355 and couldn't get it to work. I'm assuming it wasn't getting enough power no matter what setting it was on. It turn on but no sound. I remedied this by purchasing a different adapter however. I would recommend this only to someone who desperately needed a single universal adapter quick.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Great universal adapter- June 20, 2014
Simply put, this was a cheap adapter that is comparable to the stuff you'd find at Radio Shack for twice the price, but with vastly greater options in terms of tips and power settings. The company is also reputable so I had a little more faith in the product. Time will tell if this will last, all adapters seem to burn out at some point. Not sure why I needed to rate the sound quality of this ;) -- but I guess it's quiet?Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Can't stand the test of time- January 30, 2012
I purchased one of these to replace a power supply for an Edirol/Roland MIDI controller that developed a short in the cord. I found the correct plug, set the polarity properly, and plugged it in. Bam! It worked perfectly the first time. But, after about 4 1/2 weeks the thing simply quit. It wouldn't power on at all. No voltage, no light, nothing... Since it was out of the 30 day guarantee I went back and bought another hoping to have better luck. Well, this time it didn't last 3 weeks. I have heard of dubious quality with some of Hosa's products, but never had an issue with any of their products (although they were never powered) before. I can't recommend enough that you purchase another power supply from somewhere else. 2 out of 2 bad equals bad product to me. I hope others have better luck... I just wish I had the cost of both of these back to reinvest in a much more durable power supply. No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
