Probably hadn't printed 30 pages since I bought it and the Black Ink is gone already. You get what you pay for. Get something better.

  • Awesome budget printer!

I can't believe this printer is still working. We've been using it for over a year for school and work. My past experiences with sub $100 printers are usually bad. This thing communicates wifi with our HP laptops and it prints with decent quality. Looks cool too

  • Slow down my new laptop because of new printer?

from BC on November 21, 2019

When I bought a new laptop, I took advantage of a special price for a new printer when purchasing a new laptop. Great... until you try to hook up the wi-fi then it tells you that your cheap printer can only accept slow 2.4 wifi. Okay so I have both 2.4 and 5 G no problem? Whoa, by default it wants to dumb down my my nice new laptop to 2.4 when it's working great at 5 G. Well that's frustrating, but at least I can just plug it in with a USB cord. Kinda defeats the purpose of a wifi printer, but at least it won't slow down my new laptop. Okay fine, then HP offers this instant ink deal. Rather confusing, but might be good, so I sign up for this. After it accepts my payment, it says oh, you have to have the printer connected to wifi all the time, but not necessarily for printing, but so that HP can tell how many pages I'm printing. Then I have to spend hours to figure out how to get the printer to connect to my wifi at 2.4 while leaving my laptop at 5 G. I'm sure that lots of folks have inadvertently allowed this slow wifi printer to slow down their brand new laptop. It's a poor package deal. Don't get this if you have 5 G wifi for your computer. I wouldn't get this printer again knowing what I do now.
