this unit is a piece of crap. It wasn't working from day 1. Eventually discovered that the hard drive was faulty once I couldn't get it to start after only having it for two weeks. HP replaced my hard drive for free, but now it crashes whenever I'm streaming videos despite all drivers updated. I've had it for three months. Also, the fan is located on the BOTTOM of the computer, making it overheat very easily whether you have it on a hard surface or not. Don't waste your money on this laptop.
pros: -probably is the best 2-in-1 laptop around its budget in early 2018 if you can get the ones with the better display -good battery life for what you paid for. 55wh is actually generous for sthg in this budget, which lasts about 5+ hrs on youtube and 7+ hrs when taking notes on 50% brightness with wifi on etc. -has a pcie x4 m.2 slot and removable memory (RAMs) -snappy cpu, it's on par with the i5-8250u. -good build quality for its budget. nowhere near hp spectre or dell xps, but is quite better in hands than most similar 2-in-1s in its budget. -good gpu, even though the drivers are still kinda unreliable. In games, it performs on par with the 940mx (still inferior to the mx150 though). -has windows hello feature (yes just like the ones on the iphone X and it works very well) -comes with a stylus and decent built-in speakers cons: -some models come with inferior reddish/yellowish displays, be aware and make sure you examine your model's display -screen brightness is somewhat low, about 200 nits -doesn't come with the SSD as the boot drive so you'll have to install one your own - 8gb (2x4) of ram might not be enough and costly to upgrade

Overall very nice laptop, housing, keyboard... feels good. Fan gets a bit loud at times. CPU seems quite capable and should be on par with i5-8250 except for video card. Video/display drivers are abysmal, crashing, pixelation, freezing... I hope HP and AMD are going to fix that soon. This is not just me having display problems. 3 stars for overall design and potential. I noticed that some of these laptops come with subpar, yellowish and dimmer, display panel, quite disappointing compared to original release. My old laptop has perfectly white background. Some screens also show backlight bleeding... well, depends on your needs and likes.

I like the laptop. Picture quality is great but I am having issues with screen going black or blue then freezing up.
Appears to work well also under Linux Mint 18.2 and Ubuntu Budgie 17.10 when tested recently
