Nice laptop but the HP support is horrible!!!!

I've purchased a HP Envey laptop that included a stylus three days ago I've been on the phone for over two hours being passed from person to person (about 15 people so far) with no resolution, the last person i talked to before I hung up he wanted me to reinstall the Operating system on this new laptop. This is not acceptable support from HP. I'm at the point of returning this laptop and purchasing another laptop that is not HP. Would not recommend any HP product if their support is inadequate that they can't support their own product!

Waste of time....

Beautiful laptop, but after 1 day of use it I got a black screen error message and it would load properly. It's going back to Best Buy soon. Don't waste your time.

Laptop is awesome!

I was probably like all of those who are reading these reviews right now: this laptop's specs look super amazing, but some of the reviews say "bad fan," "bad build quality," and other things that seem as if this laptop is worse than you think. I think otherwise. For my use, this laptop is really awesome. I open around 30 Chrome tabs when I'm multitasking, with Premiere Pro, Word, and Powerpoint, and other things open at the same time. This laptop manages to cope with me and function very well. For the fan: I don't have a problem with it. If you're in for a super quiet fan, this laptop isn't the right one for you. The fan shouldn't be too bothersome, as some say it does somewhat sound like an electric razor, but once you use the laptop the sound is somewhat like white noise, around as loud as rain: but you just tune out of it. For the build quality: I had this laptop for around 2 months, and it's pretty good. I did manage to barely dent a side, but since the chassis is aluminium, I suppose it does that. I just "hammered" it back into place, and it doesn't look too different. Overall, this laptop is great. The inking is super useful and great, the screen is bright, the speakers are decently loud, and the specs are amazing. Definitely recommend this laptop

Amazing

I have been using this laptop for the past 3 months. When I saw it I was taken right away by the stream lines and the over-all sleek look. I am very impressed with the speed, no waiting for taskbar to load, it comes on instantly. HP has replace the hard drive with a solid state making this the most quietist laptop I have ever owned. Also I no longer require an clunky cooling fan. It stays pretty cool without it. I would totally recommend this laptop to anyone. I'm proud to own my HP Envy..

Beast Machine

Bought it 5 days ago been using it since regularly. I was nervous to buy this at first due to low ratings but decided give it a try. I am a student and ve been saving for a long time to buy the best laptop for myself. From my experience this laptop is amazing lots of features 15.6 touch display with very thin bezels, it doesn't appeal so much on the display but after purchasing it and opening at home it just blew my mind. Battery time is decent 5-7 hours, charges fast perfect for student comes with a pen as well so was very surprised. Pros 10/10 Cons 0/10 definitely one of the best laptop in the market.

HP Envy x360 15.6" 2-in1 Laptop

Works great, fast and has a nice bright colourful and easy to use touch screen. Keyboard has a good feel to it as well. Bought a Bluetooth mouse for it and works great. Sound is surprisingly good. Don't understand why some complained about fan noise as I haven't heard anything, even when left on for several hours. For the money and my needs, this computer is the answer. No bad points so far.

Fan noise is very loud

The first thing I noticed that the fan noise is very loud and it happens very often even I'm just browsing the web, it sounds like a mini blow dryer, I can't concentrate to work because of this, so I have to disable the fan. Another thing is the bottom part of the screen is much brighter, I think it is just a low quality screen. Other than that, the machine is fast and good looking

Great

I love the metallic design, very simple and sleek. The touchscreen feature with the stylus pen is pretty useful. 8th Gen i5 gives it a fast speed for most tasks too. I'm also satisfied with the backlit keyboard, touchpad, and USB ports. Battery life is good enough, should last about 6-9 hours depending on your usage. But there are some parts that could've been better. I can hear fan noise (coil whining kind of noise), especially when the laptop is just turned on. It's not that bad, but you can still hear it when you're doing heavy tasks. Also, the laptop hinge can be considered loose (you gotta treat it carefully). So overall, it's great and I believe its price is reasonable. I would give 4 stars because there are some parts that could've been better, but I still personally love this laptop.

Almost a keeper.

I bought this laptop on sale a week ago and it has a lot going for (speed, touch display, ergonomics, quiet fan, etc.). Unfortunately, its HDMI port is flaky: It'll connect to a computer monitor just fine, but it's completely useless when connecting to a TV or AVR. (The two other laptops in the house - one new, one older - do not have this issue.) So unfortunately it's going back.

good design, bad manufacture

The design and price are very good. However the first brand new one I got has a bad fan winch very load then I replaced the whole laptop. Then the replaced new one has a very quit fan lol, which is amazing, but it's bottom case plate is deformed. Ok the deform is not a large issue and I can accept that. But I have to doubt whether the manufacture‘s quality inspection department is group of idiot?

The Best 2-in-1 Laptop for the price!

I was looking for a laptop to replace my Surface Pro 3 due to hardware issues and I found that the HP Envy x360 can do the same job as the Surface, but better. What I like: The computer looks and feels premium, the speakers are separated from the keyboard, keyboard is exceptional and smooth when typing, 360 degree hinge, and include stylus support. The performance on this computer is above expectations. It's fast and efficient and can do a lot of your typical tasks without any slowness thanks to the 8th gen i5 processor inside. It also has an acceptable battery life that should last throughout the day. The cooling system on this machine is very impressive. It stays cool for the entire time (when doing simple tasks). What I don't like: It's only a Full HD display which sucks when you live in a 4K era. It's also integrated graphics, so don't expect to play more high end games with this machine. The track pad is a bit different than most laptops. It doesn't feel as great like a Mackbook Pro as it offers more of a deeper click that I need to get use to. For speakers with a name, it's not all that great but still above your average speakers. Overall: This laptop is great for people looking to use it as an everyday computer, especially those needing one for school and on a budget. It's a great value for it's price. I'd highly recommend it.

Sounds like an electric razor is on constantly

Looks amazing! Best features on the market! Great price! Love the num pad! Still returned it because the fan is so loud I can't concentrate while working.

Love this thing

Great size, speed, versatility, design. the back lit keyboard is great, and the keys have a good feel to them. its nice being able to lay in bed at turn it into a tablet. my only complaint is that the Active Pen does not seem to work properly. it has 2 buttons that don`t seem to do anything. apart from that it was a great purchase.

It's an OK Laptop

Pros: High quality texture of lid and keyboard. Relatively thin. Reasonably fast performance. Cons: The screen is grey, not white; set to the brightest possible setting, it is equal to 7/10 brightness of my 4 year old 17 inch HP Envy. The fan is quite loud; it's about 3 times as noisy as my 17 inch HP Envy. The Bang & Olufsen speakers sound quite tinny; the same song on my 17 inch HP Envy sounds rich and deep. I recommend it as a laptop for a young person, a spare, or as a travel laptop. I would not recommend it as your main laptop.
