- HP Doesn't Seem To Care- November 6, 2011
One of the original HP 564 black ink cartridges in my HP Photosmart Premium Web C309n printer is almost twice as thick as any cartridge I have received to replace it. I have ordered four different black 564 cartridges and neither one fits. There doesn't appear to be another cartridge available. One man I talked to insisted I didn't know how to insert the caqrtridge. A two year old could clearly see that I need a thicker cartridge. I replaced the regular sized black cartridge and put the thick cartridge back in its slot. I was able to complete a pressing print job I had but with frequent warnings about my ink going low. So, WHAT DO I DO NOW!?!No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
- Didn't fit.- December 2, 2011
Hard to believe, but HP changed the physical dimensions of this cartridge and did not change the model number. The cartridge Best Buy shipped did not fit in my printer. They changed the size in Sept 2010, but I suspect I received a cartridge that was sitting on the shelf for a while. Before I read the HP notes on this, I called HP customer support and they denied the size change had taken place. I returned the cartridge to Best Buy, and they nicely exchanged the cartridge for a more recent date code, same model number. That newer version of the cartridge fit just fine. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02435884&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=enYes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Doesn't Last Very Long- November 13, 2012
The regular cartridges won't even make it through one of my husband's 8 week classes for his MBA. And keep in mind that most of what he needs to read is in a text book or on the iPad - so we don't do as much printing now as I did when I was in my undergrad. The XL cartridges will last through that class - and no further. We're not printing pictures here - and we're not printing often. The cartridges on our last printer made it most of the way through printing all the pictures for one baby book. Time to go back to the drawing board and figure out how to make these cartidges last longer - or cost less - withouth skimping on print quality. No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
