Do not buy HP All in One's - Don't Last!

I have had two HP Envy all in one desktops in 4 years, the first one lasted 2 years and the screen would not come on anymore, after 6 weeks being diagnosed and fixed at Geek Squad, I was told the motherboard had failed. After the repair, it lasted 3 days and completely stopped working. Geeksquad refused to refund my money. I figured the first one was just bad luck so I bought a newer model, have had it 18 months and am having all kings of glitches with it, the biggest one being it won't come out of sleep mode, I have to completely turn the computer off and on again. I feel it's just a matter of time before this one stops working again completely. Will never buy an HP computer again,

got the first one at the best buy in Surrey BC , transferring all my files into my new computer, just crashed a day after I bought it, took it back and after over an hour line up with other customers returning troubled HP computers ( mostly laptop) got another one I have been told by best buy staff that there is bug and effect a lot of HP new computers , got the second one wont even start , got it back and done with HP after over 20 years being a loyal customer.

Looks better than it is

I was excited to get this computer home, even after reading the reviews. I thought it would be a great addition to the office, but there are constant network interruptions. My iPhone, iPad, Chromebook and Toshiba laptop all have full wifi signal the entire day. They never disconnect. This one has constant issues with finding the network and loading web pages. Sometimes it will not connect at all without rebooting (asks for ethernet cable connection). It's a shame that such a machine has such a glitch.

Had to return two of them...

I upgraded to this model from the lower one after realizing I needed a dedicated graphics card. It seemed great until I played some music, and it came through with a noticeable crackling noise. I checked the hp support forums, and it seemed like a known issue. It turned out to be a hardware problem, so I exchanged it for another. I unboxed the next one, and found it was covered in hand prints (maybe a returned machine). I cleaned it up, and turned it on - same speaker issue. This time the fact that it has no 5G wireless capability was painfully obvious as well. I returned it in better shape than I got it. I've had 3 of this line of computer in the last week, and 2 of them didn't work as advertised. If you need a pretty fast machine, but are okay with slow wireless, and are comfortable playing the odds on a known hardware problem - this might be the computer for you. *Have to say - really appreciated Best Buy's no hassle return policy... thanks guys!

that's my second pavillon, first one is 23 inches, 8 years old and still going, this one is 27 inches, wow what a difference, I am very happy with my purchase.

Very Nice

With the 27 inch monitor along with an i7 chip and 12G of ram this machine is very fast. The quality of the case is better than most I've seen, looks very rugged, time will tell. The keyboard and mouse are also of a better quality than other models. There are only 2 usb sockets so if you;re like me two is not enough so I connected a 7 port hub to one for expansion. Other than that I think I got a winner.

I got really excited when I saw the specs on this unit and I'm so disappointed that it's performance is lagging. I bought it yesterday and am returning it. The wifi is so slow that downloading and installing the windows update out of the box took about 90 minutes. I have 5G wifi at home but it couldn't pick up the signal. When I read some performance reviews, in combination with my own experience, I decided the unit wasn't worth keeping. For the computer to reset to factory status took six hours. I couldn't believe it. I didn't think a system with such great specs would be so sluggish.

Works Well For Intended Purpose

The unit works very well for its intended purpose. The systems runs Office 16 and a number of industry specific programs. It runs quickly and there have been no issues or problems.

Packed with good guts... but lacking the most basic functionality....

We bought this computer, got a good deal due to a sale, internal specs looked great. The computer is well enough built, the keyboard and mouse though... you have a aluminum body and metal stand, looking premium, then throw some cheap plastic keyboard and mouse to go with it... very odd. None the less we brought it home, and low and behold the WIFI card in it is not AC, and will not detect or connect to 5Ghz WIFI networks... I'm just dumb struck. Our 2.4Ghz WIFI network is about 1/4 the speed of the 5Ghz. So she's being returned, all because of a simple WIFI card. You would think with all of the effort they put into the internals, then choosing not to throw in an AC supported wifi card, seriously... what the heck? Ridiculous.

Motherboard died within the year

Bought this computer, and for the first year everything worked great. Then it wouldn't turn on. Sent it through geeksquad's 3 year protection plan to get repaired. It took 5 weeks for them to diagnose and eventually replace a fried motherboard after saying repairs would be completed in 4-14 business day. Upon getting it back, it still didn't work...back to the repair shop. Going on about 2 months without a working computer with no end in sight. In hind sight, I wouldn't buy an all-in-one again and I for sure would not get the protection plan...what a joke that has been.
