laptop

you people ever heard of memory sticks. stick one in the laptop and you will have instant space. knowing this when you by the laptop that would and should be one of the key components you look at when buying.

Possibly the worst laptop to ever own or buy

A smart phone from 2013 runs faster better and has more space than this piece of crap. good luck ever signing out of it to resell it or format it. Its basically encrypted to never get formatted after certain amount of months of using it, so your Microsoft information will be on it forever even if you have constantly deleted everything. Seriously never purchasing another HP product.

omg

This notebook, not laptop, it was an emergency for school and some work. Space?? hahah that word is a joke. no space. I only downloaded Chrome, and thats it, I had to uninstall skype, even though no space. and always the posts about space. I still "using " it because i need it and for the basic staff it works, but thats it. I cannot work in my photos because I cant purchase and download the Photoshop program. As soon I can buy another real one, I will

do.not.buy!

I knew and accepted the limitations of this laptop before purchasing it. I knew there wasn't enough space to store documents, pictures, etc, and I was OK with that. I wanted it for streaming, email, surfing. HOWEVER, be warned that there is not even enough space on this laptop to perform Windows updates, security updates, the list goes on. There will come a time, and it won't be long, before you are stuck with an out-of-date laptop. It really is a shame because other than that, I loved this laptop. But less than a year after purchasing it, I had to pack it in and purchase a new one.

great for the money

I've had a stream for almost three years and it's worked well for school, web browsing and streaming Netflix and youtube. You have to accept it's limitations. You can't install much for programs and can't do Windows 10 updates at all due to hard drive limitations (I'm sure there's a work-around somewhere, but I really don't care), but add an SD card for file storage and you'll be alright. I mostly use Google apps and it runs them quite snappily. My favorite thing is the keyboard - I can type super fast on this thing. Battery life is surprisingly good too. For 300 bucks, this laptop owes me nothing.

Terrible

Just wanted a cheap laptop for surfing/email. This should do the trick, except that Windows 10 takes up all of the available hard drive. To the point where it can no longer accept important security updates because there is not enough hard drive space. The only program I have added is Chrome. It is unacceptable in this day and age for a laptop to be shipped with an O/S that it doesn't have the memory to support. After many years of HP products, I know that HP won't be getting my money again in the future.

Computer dead

A bit after warranty the computer has stopped working. Was used by grandkids on occasion when they came to visit. Wonder if it is worth having it repaired...? Plugged in the light on side goes on, but computer will not start

Lasted only 3 weeks of mild use.

Purchased for my daughter. She could only use it for 3 weeks or less before it died and would not power up. Look and feel wise it was very good but unfortunately broke down too soon.

No storage

No trouble with speed or connectivity, but there is NO SPACE on this computer. I literally only have chrome, adobe and a few personal work files on it, and its full. Cant upgrade the memory because the whole thing is soldered to the motherboard. Waste of money.

Honest review

So the other reviews were short one sentences, I hopefully can have a better review for those who are looking for honest opinions that have a bit of meat and potatoes. I am no computer tech or claim to know everything about computers, this is just my honest opinion. Pros: - It really is nice looking - It's light as a feather - Doesn't have a numpad (which I think is a pro for laptops) - Pretty decent if you can buy it on sale - Comes with Office365 for a year free Cons: - Slow. The processor has a hard time running google chrome let alone any other software or applications. Even Facebook is a bit slow. - No hard drive space. Cool, it comes with a solid state drive but half of it is used up by windows 10 - Only comes in the blue colour I'm writing this review on it on this webpage and it's not so bad, but I'm probably going to return it tomorrow and find something that can handle a bit more, processor wise. I built my desktop computer, with power and gaming in mind, so I was looking for something mobile to take with me to the arctic for leisure after work. However all the negative aside, office runs pretty good and it can stream no problem. Overall I can't say I've owned it for a while and know how it performs months/years down the road, but it runs to be as expected for the price and it has a sleek design. Would be the perfect laptop for a student or someone on a budget, bonus if you can buy it on sale.

No space

There is no space on this unit. We all need some programs, and once Windows needs to update a couple times there is no more space for the next update. It is currently telling me I need to free 8GB to install the update needed. the only way to do that is to uninstall the programs I need, then what use is the stream.

Do not buy this...unless you are asking for a piece of junk

Similar to other comments. Laptop has connectivity issues, generally slow, etc. Not worth buying.

Don't Buy It

NO storage at all. SLOW. Sometimes has difficulty connecting to the internet. I can access my google cloud, but I am still trying to figure out how to actually pull things from the cloud to use elsewhere on the computer.
