Poor investment, for me anyway

No comparison to a Canon cartridge. It's worth buying an original cartridge for me even at double the price. I print almost entirely 8x10 glossy pictures with this particular printer. The yield per cartridge is about 1/3 of a Canon OEM high yield cartridge. It worked fine once I spent a couple of hours on the internet finding out how to disable the warning message that wouldn't allow it to print and locked out the printer's print function. The printer still will not recognize the cartridge and reports it as having no ink. BUT.. There is good news to all this. I found out how to bypass the internal lockout and get my own refilled cartridges to work with this printer which will allow me to only buy replacement cartridges when the heads wear out.
