Screen blacks out

I got this TV to use in my transport truck. Initially I was impressed with both the picture and the sound quality. However, after four months of periodic use, the screen started to black out. At first, it was periodic and resolved by holding down the power button to trigger a restart. Finally, the screen started blacking out immediately after turning on the power. Searching further into it, screen black outs appear to be a common issue with this brand of TV and it seems the only way to resolve it is to send it to the manufacturer for service. I DO NOT recommend buying this brand of TV. It's not worth going through the hassle to get serviced and will be thrown out.

It's okay for the price

Got this as a secondary TV in the bedroom. The colour is decent, and I like the glossy screen helps with the blacks. The IR for the remote/tv is kind of crappy as it needs a direct line of sight to control it (compared to my main TV Samsung 40" MU6300 you can control it with stuff in the way). The tape job for transport was pretty crappy as it left glue residue on the bezel. The roku system is also kind of crappy compared to the samsung as it does not keep track of what you have watched on the app (ie youtube or netflix) if you turn off the TV so the app will have to start from the main splash screen. Also, it takes a while for it to start up from the power off state and to turn off from its power on state. You can't browse the internet and watch the videos without some complex firefox app which I could never figure out. It maybe better to spend that extra money on the samsung tv instead or get an android box and a non smart tv.
