Great Budget TV

This is a nice budget TV that offers very nice picture quality and pretty good sound quality. For someone wanting a slim inexpensive bedroom TV, this one is a good buy.

Picture is ok, nothing amazing. I tried lightening it, thru picture setting, still a little dark. What really sucks is that I have an old 'standard' definition satellite receiver with coaxial cable, no HDMI on this receiver. There is a constant static coming thru the volume, quite annoying. I believe it has something to do with that the tv has the coaxial cable specifically designed to hook up to an external antenna only (as the instruction said). So I believe the tv thinks it's drawing it's signal from an antenna, meanwhile it coming from a satellite receiver. Also the picture comes in with the black side bars on either side that take up 1/4 of the screen. I've enlarged the picture to compensate. As a result when viewing 'channel menu', outside edged items are cut off. Either take the tv back or upgrade to HDMI receiver. Too bad, the receiver been a workhorse for a long time.
