- Only last 2 yearsReviewed by J - September 21, 2021
Purchased this tv in September 2019. The picture started to go dark and blink. Sadly my warranty expired a week before this happened. Spoke with Geek squad was told nothing they could do. It would be better to buy a new tv. I do not recommend this tv. My Insignia that I bought in 2016 is still going and has had no issues. But the 50 inch 4k, already done. Its sad.

Report - Backlight Broke in less than 2 years.Reviewed by David - January 3, 2022
If you want your TV to last you more than 18 months, look elsewhere. Bought in July 2020, backlight broke by December 2021. The backlights started flickering at first, and then completely blew out altogether. This is a common problem with this TV, it's built cheap for a cheaper price point, but you get what you pay for: a cheap TV.

Report - Backlight also died on me after 2 yearsReviewed by DeadTVtatertots - January 7, 2022
Decent product but died on me after about 2 years Backlight died - screen extremely dim, flickering. In the days before the backlight died, there were a couple other glitches that seemed worrisome too Was hoping my unit wouldn't succumb like the rest but, alas....no ! My other 4k tvs are still going strong. Avoid this model

Report - 22 months then deadReviewed by Bruce W. - May 18, 2022
Bought the TV on sale and had zero issues initially. Great picture, great sounds, easy set up. Then 2 days ago the screen went so dim I could barely read it. Eventually did a factory reset and installed new updates and it worked for a day. Today the top half was dim and bottom half was lit. Did all the troubleshooting I could find yet the whole screen with super dim again. Called Best Buy technical support and they sent me to Insignia Customer Support. Insignia suggested I troubleshoot (things I had already done). Then they looked up the model number and the guy on the line told me they were aware this was a known issue to happen to this model between 16 and 30 months. I asked what I could do and he said buy a new TV. I asked if there was any compensation since it was a know defect with the model and he said no. My old LG lasted over 5 years of university life without an issue. Looks like I am switching back. If I buy a TV I expect more than 22 months from it. Will not purchase again!

Report - Trash after 1.5 yearReviewed by Casey - December 17, 2021
Purchased in June of 2020 - LED failure in Dec 2021! Terrible quality, and Bestbuy's tech support won't even attempt fixing TV issues, apparently too complicated. Thankfully I was able to get some help from the store manager, but I will never buy an Insignia product again!
