  • Works well, looks like a native Apple accessory
    Verified BuyerReviewed by ODH3 - November 10, 2018

Got this for a new MacBook Pro 15, and I use every single port. My old MBP had a built-in SD-card reader, but I still needed an Ethernet to Thunderbolt adapter. This one does it all (except that I could always use more USB 3.0 ports). NOTE: sometimes USB-C is not recognized until I unplug and re-plug the adapter. That clears it up, but was never an issue with my previous USB ports-and-hubs. It does run fairly hot, but I draw a lot of power and have run it with a Focrusrite Scarlett 2i2 which sends phantom power to microphones. Never had a problem keeping the MBP fully charged, and both data and internet speeds are very good. The build quality looks as good or better than any of my native Apple accessories.

  • Provides everything you need!
Verified BuyerReviewed by TampaBayTitan - June 6, 2021

I purchased this after realizing my newly purchased Apple MacBook Air did not have any USB ports or an SD card port. I do a lot of recreational photography from my drone and digital camera and needed a convenient and quick way to transfer videos and photos to my MacBook Air. This does the job effectively and is very compact allowing you to throw it in a computer bag, backpack, etc. I have not compared this to other brands but the transfer speed is quick and seems to be a well made product after having it for over a year. Good solution if you need extra ports or need the ability to connect traditional USB cables and devices to your Apple products

  • Insignia 7 port C-Hub with Gig. Ethernet Adapter
Verified BuyerReviewed by Mekp - December 28, 2021

This adapter works great so far. It has all the ports my Surface Pro does NOT have. You can easily access a micro disk port, regular memory disk slot, 2 USBs, a USB-C & more. It is quite handy. My only complaint is the same on many such devices... The cord is seriously short!!! It clumsily gets in the way & occasionally unplugs itself. Annoying, but worth having all the extra ports this tablet does not have standard- like on my old MacBook Pro. But I do like my new surface, so it's a trade-off I'm willing to endure. Wish they get it across that most people really want an extra longer cord! I would recommend this even with that one caveat.

  • Does what I wanted
Verified BuyerReviewed by dcmatthews - June 8, 2019

I needed a way to connect a new Wacom Cintiq 16 tablet display (which requires an HDMI port as well as a USB-A port) to my Mac mini which only has one HDMI port (already occupied by my monitor). Plugged this into one of the Thunderbolt 3 ports on the mini, plugged in the Cintiq and it works like a charm! My only complaint is that the cord is much too short; I think it needs to be at least a foot long so that you have more flexibility in placing the hub (as it is it has to sit directly behind the Mac, on limited desk space). But if you can live with a too-short cord, this hub should fill your needs for more USB ports and an additional HDMI port.

  • Low Priced Multi-adapter That Works
Verified BuyerReviewed by CHJC - March 5, 2019

There isn't a whole lot that needs to be said about this device. It has ports for most everything you could need that is absent from say, your MacBook Pro. It has an ethernet port, HDMI port, two USB 3.0 ports, micro SD card port, standard SD card port, and a USB-C port. It has done everything I've asked of it with the exception of allowing me to hook up a MIDI keyboard. I can live with that because it has saved me a considerable amount of money with its versatility and all-in-one construction. Apple equivalents would have cost substantially more and I would have a mess of adapters to contend with instead of just the one.
